         <description><![CDATA[<div>There is a wide range of types of animation in media for example clymation,pixilation,sketches ect this can be made using different types of programmes for example istopmotion.This is to create an illusion of movement when the film is shown as a sequence. This can be put along side normal filmed footage as done quite commonly in adverts and music videos.<br>explination<br>This music video includes animation during it with normal footage as it makes it more urban by including these unreal parts to the video. This makes us as the audience more attracted and makes the video more bright and filled rather than empty if there was none of this animation included. This animation allows us to see the unseeable things that director wanted to get across in this music video.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Chroma key is a technique also known as green screen it is used in many things like weather reports on the news. This means that a block colour is put behind the artist and is replaced by another picture/video. Sometimes the quality doesn't always look as good if the background is of a specific location but they are sometimes used for upbeat dance songs. A lot of music videos use chroma key to add a comical sense to their music.<br>explination<br>This music video of eminem uses the technique of chroma key to bring different backgrounds into the music video that wouldn't of been possible without the green screen, for example the fire surrounding the singer also the guitar hero lines that he is standing on this makes the video different and striking which will keep the viewers interested and what to carry on watching.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Just like movements, camera angles make a huge impact on the meaning and style of the music video. Wherever a camera is placed can show the power of the artist/characters. Or sometimes it can show an exact location from where we should be seeing it. By choosing different angles, the viewers have a different view of the action, which makes it more interesting and everybody will have their own way of watching it.<br>explination<br>Camera angels are key to giving off the right impression or message intened especially with people like when using high shots this gives the sense of vulnerability on the opposite side when you use low shots they show strength and dominance. This is used in the example I have given as to when the singer is hurt and in a way weak the camera is pointing down to her making her look small then towards&nbsp; the end of the song the camera is lower when the lyrics are about strength.</div>]]></description>

It gives the music video a good sense of energy because they're always on the move and presents the artist in a lively way. There are also a lot of camera shots as well which makes the music video look a lot more productive and visual; we know exactly whats going on and where about they all are as well as knowing everyones expression.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Each time a member joins in to the song their video gets added to the screen so you can see each of them singing. Multi-image allows you so see who is singing what part. As she sings into the dark sky, fireworks burst from her chest and soon inspire young people throughout the city to overcome their fears and insecurities then go on to lighting their own fireworks.<br>Viewers will take this in different ways as to if the fireworks mean anything in the story and people will see each situation that is shown in this music video in different ways this could be due to personal experiences or just the way people see things differently.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today we have looked at the styles of music videos, the same as with the techniques last week we have found an example of a music video for each of them and explained i feel i have improved as last week i was quite shaky on the explanation parts to each video i choose and i had to really search for examples last week whereas today as we were going through the styles i was able to think of videos i have seen that have those styles i have also been able to explain a lot easier today as to why i choose this example and where there is proof. I feel i am starting to be able to disect music videos a lot more now and hope this continues where i will get more confident rather than questioning myself if the example i have found is really that technique or style i think it is. I am also very happy that i am currently completing work all when it is set rather than scrapping along the unit where i get left with loads of work to do at the end where i miss the small deadlines i also hope i can keep up this so i can stay on task and meet all my deadlines and if possible get the work complete before so i don't just make the deadline.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After last week where i began researching into political music videos from the eras that we are to look into i created a table of music videos political and commercial from each era from the 50's to the 90's, this research helps with finding out with seeing how things have changed throughout the times especially technology wise so that i can think or get inspiration from these for my own idea for a music video to my chosen song. I have also gathered knowledge of the music industry over time from this research for example music videos weren't really heard of for quite a while but they became an event where friends and family would come together to watch them on TV when MTV started up by showing music videos in the 80's.This week we looked at techniques within music videos where i found examples for each technique and explained how and why the producers have used this particular technique for the music video example i found, this helped me with creating ideas for my music video idea as things like split screen i used within my idea which will bring a more professional look to the music video as i will be to use a range of techniques that i have learnt from this research. Also this week i have been creating a visual annotated mood board on padelt with my plans and details for my music video idea ready to pitch to my peers. I have included shot types, colour schemes, props and costumes and annotated lyrics this is to ensure i have thought about all the small details  to give better idea of my vision for the music video which i have selected which is 'the boy is mine' by brandy and monica. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week we all pitched our padlet mood board ideas where we had to fill out grading charts for everyones ideas we then added the marks up, voted on whos idea we would like to do and who we would like to work with we also pitched the two top job roles we would like to do and why we thought we would be best for those roles, the reasoning for us doing this is for everyone to get a visual view of what our ideas were so they could decide whether or not they feel this would be successful to fufill our brief. My confidence in pitching my ideas has been improve due to this which will help me in my future when it comes to my career especially when it comes to job interviews throughout this corse my confidence in pitching my ideas have been improving because although i am confident including speaking out loud i have always struggled with getting my ideas out as i was always worried about my ideas being judged but this time i was fairly confident i could improve my body posture when i am pitching as i slouched quite a bit while i was pitching which didn't show professionalism. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week we were put into our groups where we decided on the group name which is SPARKSTUDIO productions and we made our logo so that we establish ourselves as a team, we then went on to create our crew profiles were we had to establish what our roles in this team production would be and state what documents we would need to complete. Completing this team preparation enabled us to begin our pre-production documents i started with the risk assessment as we need this legally as part of health and safety regulations before we can start filming, i included this document on the location visit sheets being more specific as to where certain hazards are more likely to occur when on certain sets e.g. trips and falls are more likely on the stair sets. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week me and my team focused on ensuring that all of our pre-production documents were completed ready to begin our production to ensure we are fully prepared making our production time a faster process so if we face any issues during the production period we will be able to overcome these due to our extensive pre-production planning. We all had our independent documents that we needed to complete as part of our job roles. The pre-production documents that i completed as my job role were storyboard sketches, head shots, location visit sheets and risk assessment i also printed off a list of all the documents that needed to be done and checked them off as everyone in the group completed their documents this way we knew what had to be done as we went along so that we would be able to stay inline with the deadlines that we had to meet. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today me and my production team came in with our main actor where we filmed some clips for our music video we set up the motion room with all of our equipment which was a camera two lights a tripod and a back fall down screen. We did have problems trying to get a decent high shot as there was sockets on the wall and also there was problems with the low shots due to the bars on the roof, We over came these problems by moving the equipment back or placing them on tables where i had to climb up on the table to take the shot.Also we wanted a moving closing clip where we put the camera on a chair and wheeled it back due to not having a runner. We did get quite a few shots where we took the same shot from different angles and also a few back up shots if we were unable to fill up all of our allocated time for the song for our chosen music video.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week me and my team have been transferring and looking over our footage that we collected over the half term in our production. We have put all the footage on to the editors computer ready for us to bring it all together for post-production.We have also been working on our own personal work for example our diary entrys' for this term so far. Also we have been faced with a problem in our production stage in this project where we haven't got the right performers due to availability times which we had worried about before, due to this me and my team mates this week have created some short storyboards of back up ideas to fill up the rest of the footage for this music video. I created one of a flash mob to put in the video where we could include many angles and filler shots such as crowds reaction. The story board that connor created was if we used the team members in the music video as replacement including more shot types. Josh created one of all the problems we faced last week during production. James has been editing the footage we have got so far which we are all very happy and impressed with we believe we won't have to use our back up plans as we have been able to film with our main performer jack today and we have also set up a filming day next week on the tuesday to get any final clips we need to complete our music video. I have also been on premiere pro where i have put all the test shots we did before we began production so that we could show this on our padlet.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week me and my production team have been finishing off any filming we needed to add to our clips so that we get the look we want for our final music video along side the editing so that we can see if we need to do any re-shots. I also got trained on how to use the close shot lens on the camera on tuesday so that we would be able to get clear shots rather than using the usual lens and getting bad quality we also were made aware that our technical technician has a smoke machine so we used this for our final filming day to get some more effective clips possibly making our music video look more professional we are all very happy and confident with our production at the moment and proud of our music video so far already we believe we are on good timing and we are very confident that we will meet the deadline without rush.We have also all been focusing on our diary logs to add improvements and complete them to ensure we are all singly with in the group ready for marking so we can all focus on our group work as it comes to the end of this unit. During the filming today we had made signs warming about the smoke machine but many people still continued to come in as the technical equipment is in the cupboard of that room so this did cause a tiny problem but we just continued to film and add more smoke. We love the look of the smoke in the shots we have taken today, also we used the black wall rather than the white back fall i think this will be better for the over all look of the music video as it will bring more of a range to the colouring throughout the video aswell as this point we did this so we would be able to see the smoke in the footage. We also used a dedolight this is like a spotlight in a way as it highlights the smoke and made it look more effective. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week me and my team have been editing our footage which we are all very happy with and feel it has really come together now. We feel that the cutting to the beat went perfectly throughout and the lip syncing is perfectly alined. We have also gone through all our documents to check that they were completed which we are up to the standards we are happy with. I have also added to my diary logs as i know how important the diary logs are as our evaluation for this unit. I also carried out a PR job where i made a album cover for our music video on photoshop where i carefully selected an image from the clips that i had that i also chose for comedy as our music video is a parody so including humour in the album cover helps support the music videos aim i changed the tint of colour of the image and added some text that fit well with the colours in the image i chose for the album cover. This could of been alot more appealing but I thought something simple would suffice as it was only something I did with spare time during editing.also this week we have completed our re-shoot of some of the clips under the suggestion from delta due to the exposure of them being too bright which i completely agree with.&nbsp;<br>We met with our actor this morning where we filmed the outside stairs scenes while our editor continued so we could bring the clips straight back to him to place within the gaps left, i am very happy with the clips we got we have to be very careful not to face the same issue with exposure as my team when they filmed the original clips of the stairs in my place. I went through the camera settings with our technical operator 'Dave' where we changed the settings lower to make sure less sunlight got into the lens which was the issue to boys faced originally so we changed many things including the iso and shutter speed. These clips are a lot darker to what they were before so this was a successful production shoot this morning. Our editor has taken the clips of the SD card where i also checked over them with him to ensure the brightness was what we wanted to fit in with our music video. These clipswere added into our music video where needed and planned, but the editor and director chose the original shoots that the boys took from outside.we are all confident that we will have our music video completed to a good standard and to what we will all be happy and proud with.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Comparing past music video with present</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In our first year we made music videos, my team was made up of me,issy,rhianna, rachel and lou, the role i carried out within this music video was the camera operator. This year we made music videos again where this team was made up of me,james,josh and connor where again i was camera operator. Comparing the two of these music videos with a year difference between them you can see the clear improvements and skills we have developed within a year. I believe the music video from the first year due to lack of skills as be had only just began this media course to start off with the structure of the idea for the music video for last year was clearly quite improvised and showed lack of planning, due to us not fully understanding of the importance of detail within the storyboards. This resulted in a lot of messy shots that also made the storyline hard to follow. Another thing that i can point out that due to not knowing what gets you good marks the first music video really lacked in a range of shots as we had a lot of mid and long shots within the first music video whereas in the recent music video that i made with SPARKS Studio productions we had a large range of shots from all different angles including low, high, side mid,close ups, long and many more showing more skill and professionalism.&nbsp;<br>Another thing that i can see from watching both the music videos that the camera quality was very different between the two as the first time round we didn't know much about changing the settings on the camera for certain things&nbsp;like when filming outside due to exposure which i now know due to technical support from dave the media techntion. My final point of comparison is effects last year me and my team didn't use any effects within our music video just used the footage we had taken and put it together but used loads of props which i think made it look over the top and messy, whereas this year me and my team included colour chroma effects onto the clips to keep the clips interesting so that the viewer wouldn't get bored, we also used a smoke machine in the recent music video which brought a more professional look to the music video.<br><br></div>]]></description>
