This week also saw Dr. Akmar introducing the types of cupping, the age rating for cupping and introducing cupping equipment to all of us. Apart from introducing the cupping tools, Dr. Akmar also explained the function and usage of each cupping tool. 

After finishing explaining each function of the cupping equipment, we were taught how to properly wash the cupping cups using several ingredients so that bacteria can be removed and maintain the cleanliness of the cupping equipment.

Before doing the blood cupping, we were all reminded to wear gloves like the previous weeks. For starters, I have been using the cupping glide to replace the sequence. 

Then after 6 minutes of glide cupping, I continued by doing wind cupping using the appropriate size of cupping cup and placing it on the sunnah point. 

After leaving it for 10 minutes, the cupping marks looked like wiped, so I carefully used a cupping needle according to the appropriate size to make blood cupping. 

I have made several shapes such as the circle shape using the cupping needle. Next I placed the cupping cup back on the spot and gently lifted the skin and left it for 15 minutes. As a result blood can be seen around the cupping glass. 

After finishing, we all wanted to wash the cupping glass. Once ready to be washed, these cupping marks will be dried. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to do and explore this cupping activity.
