This talk allowed me to learn more about the engineering behind race cars. The structure of the car effects the performance of the vehicle. When there is a streamline body shape, there will be lesser air resistance, hence the resultant force for the car to move forward will be greater. Therefore the car will be able to move faster. The song was called Seasons Of Love. At first, I had thoughts like What if I stammer? What if I cannot remember my lines on stage? What if I am too soft? But thanks to the support of my peers and the conductor, I managed to deliver a spectacular performance. 

From these 3 and a half years of being in choir, my favorite performance was during the Singapore Youth Festival Competition and the choir managed to get distinction. During the months leading up to the performance, it was very exhausting to juggle my studies and master the songs. Along this journey many mistakes were made but the songs was delivered splendidly in the end. The airbus 380800 is powered by 4 engine alliance GP7200/ Roll-Royce Trent 900 turbofan engines, which are designed for high trust and long-haul operations. Sufficient trust is needed to support its massive size and weight, in order to operate effectively. Thus the engine efficiency by may be lower compared to smaller, more fuel-efficient engines. Even though the A380 incorporates advance aerodynamic features and engine technology to improve fuel efficiency, its operational economics may be less favourable compared to smaller and more fuel-efficient aircraft.

However the Boeing 737 has used various engines from different manufacturers, with the latest MAX series powered by CFM International LEAP engines, which are designed for improved fuel efficient and reduced emissions. The engine designs provide a balance between thrust and fuel efficiency. In addition, since the aircraft is smaller in size and weight, this improves fuel consumption. The Boeing 737 is also known for its fuel efficiency as it features advance technology such as high-bypass ratios, lightweight materials and improved aerodynamics.

The most memorable project was making a doll house out of paper materials and using marker to decorate it. Taking inspiration from Keith Haring’s works, I started off filling up the space with random cute doodles. As it started to build up, I realised that the process was very long and tedious. In addition, i would occasionally make certain mistakes in my drawing and try to use white ink to cover it up.

As a person who is fond of expressing myself through words, I often come up with creative pieces. One of my favourite was a flash fiction that I submitted for Unity Young Writers Festival and attained second place for it. Even though it was not my first flash fiction it was the best one. The title was “if I was hunting for Merlions” and it was about how i was in a rain forest and managed to spot one in a lake. It was very imaginative to make the merlion seem like a real creature in the story. I mostly got the inspiration of how so many people visit and adore Sinagpore’s merlion , thus I wondered how people would be like if it was real. Would they try to keep the animal in a zoo? Or display it in a museum?

One of the significant changes in my character is that I am much more confident and better at teamwork. 
As a vice chairman, I get to work with my committee to organise certain activities like via projects and choir camps and ensure each choir session runs smoothly by setting up logistics and ensuring progress during sectionals. 
As a vice chairman, I also have to ensure all my members are actively engaged and inclusive. I have a junior who has cerebral palsy and is unable to stand for long periods of time. Hence I would have to ensure that she is not left out in any activities planned by the committee. Thus, i have to make sure that everyone is accounted for.

3 basic things that I learnt:
I found out that aviation started since 1903. 
A biplane, an aircraft, was a failed competition design for the army by Samuel Cody. But it was a strong evidence to show the determination to improve the process of flight. 
For the first transatlantic, nonstop flight. The team thought they are going to land on a nice grassy strip in Ireland, but it turned out to be a bog so they rather sank up to there under carriages.

1 interesting fact: 
A female pilot, Amy Johnson, flew the plane de Havilland DH.60 Moth as the first to fly from London to Australia in 1930. She was considered as a pioneering English pilot. Flying solo or with her husband, Jim Mollison, she set many long-distance records during the 1930s. She flew in WWII as a part of the Air Transport Auxiliary and disappeared during a ferry flight.

This visit was an eye opening experience as I managed to see many types of experiments testing on different topics like (waves, electricity and light). This video shows one of the experiments in an o level paper which shows how when the two circular panels are charged it affects the movement of the pendulum. As the handle is spun more times, the pendulum will swing back and forth even faster.
