Lowery was Eastern European. He was raised in a  semi-rural area in the upper midwest. This is where his father was a rubber worker while his mother was a homemaker. His father was very into politics leading him to shun politics and newspaper reading at a young age. However, he had to learn to read in ways that he has never done before. His next job at the municipal utility department reading water meters is responsible for his reintroduction to newspapers, which influenced him to become more involved in politics what's he became interested in the state of things. His time in Washington, D.C. at the union training is also a sponsor because its where he bettered his reading skills, and was pumped with information and knowledge on laws and the system. It also led the way to him receiving an offer for a full-time job working as a field staff representative for the union. Because of his activities and time representing the union he became a good speaker and became at presenting their side of the case. His time at the union also influenced many more of his life choice such as him becoming more observant of how the system works, becoming a better writer, and him getting more serious and passionate about his work. Later in life when he was offered the opportunity to start a new career, the classes he took heavily enforced reading. He went from building cars to informing people about society. As a part of his job in an union, Lowery had to adapt to the advance environment of

Because of the fact that with Howard comes so many opportunities and experiences that will help us out in the long way or choose the path for our lives and careers. Also, our professors who are further educating us and therefore preparing us for these career paths. By, lecturing us and giving us the important information and necessities we need to excel in not only class but in life.
