Christmas (December 25)- celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ

Easter- celebrates Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead, is Christianity’s most important holiday. It has been called a moveable feast because it doesn’t fall on a set date every year, as most holidays do. Instead, Christian churches in the West celebrate Easter on the first Sunday following the full moon after the vernal equinox on March 21. Therefore, Easter is observed anywhere between March 22 and April 25 every year.

Good Friday- the suffering and death of Jesus, as terrible as it was, marked the dramatic culmination of God’s plan to save his people from their sins.

Ash Wednesday- considered the first day of Lent. Ashes made from palm trees are put across the forehead of a cross, and it represents the start of the 46 days of fasting (Not including Sundays) leading up to easter. This is all for preparing the people for Easter.

Resurrection and salvation are two different things. Resurrection is the the revival of Jesus 3 days after his death. He then went to heaven to join his father. Salvation is the eternal life of one's soul with God in heaven. Christians belive that following Jesus is the first step to heaven. The Christians belive that when you die God decides if you go to heaven or hell. They consider this a gift from God.

Commonly known as the Lord's Supper, it reenacts the breaking of the bread and sharing of the wine before his death. The new testament says Jesus began the sacrament during the feast.
