The show titled, "The End Of The F****** World", is about two adolescents named James and Alyssa, who quickly get into trouble with the law, moments after meeting each other. For example, James is real fond with killing animals, but soon realizes that he would like to kill an actual human being. When the rebellious Alyssa sees and confronts James, he quickly agrees to be her friend because he believes that she would be a great victim. After many issues arise within Alyssa's family, she concludes that she wants to run away with James. James agrees only for the sole purpose that he believes that this situation will be a great opportunity to carry out his plan on Alyssa. After they participate in many robberies and commit a murder together, the new goal is to continue living on the run without getting arrested.

On this episode, James is very innocent, despite the fact that he kills animals as a hobby. For example, he does not use drugs or alcohol, he does not fight with others, he does not talk back or behave disrespectfully towards his father, etc. However, once the rebellious Alyssa is introduced to his life, he begins to act rebelliously as well, due to the fact that Alyssa tells him that he should do the rebellious actions. Some of James' new rebellious actions include; punching his father in the face, stealing his car, and running away.
In regards to the textbook, this is called socialization, in where, adolescents become similar to each other mainly because "...friends influence each other" (Adolescence, pg. 192).

On this episode, Alyssa commits many actions that are very respectful and rebellious. For example, she talks back to her mother, she yelled at her old friends, she used lots of foul language to a complete stranger, she began drinking alcohol, she ran away, etc. According to the textbook, the chances of her committing/participating in these such actions are very high. To further explain, the textbook states that, "...adolescents in stepfamilies are even more at risk for this sort of problem behavior than are adolescents in single parent families" (Adolescence, pg. 158). Do to the fact that Alyssa now lives with her biological mother, step-father, and step-siblings, actions like the ones that Alyssa is committing, very much so makes sense.

In regards to the textbook, it stated that results from a survey showed that, "25% of adolescents report that something that happened online led to a face-to-face argument with someone, and nearly that precent reported that something online led to the end of a friendship" (Adolescence, pg. 272). In relation to this episode, Alyssa got in a big argument with one of her friends, due to the fact that, Alyssa did not appreciate the message her friend sent her on social media. Ultimately, it caused the end of that friendship.
