In fact, in a Gorillaz mockumentary (Gorillaz: Charts of Darkness), Terry Hall has a small cameo, in which he states, "The biggest influence is me." In Gorillaz' debut album, there is a combination of different sounds made by the Specials and Massive Attack. Furthermore, 2-D (a record producer in the Gorillaz universe) was named Terry, after Terry Hall from The Specials.
