• Can you write a sentence using red words (e.g. I, my, he, she, see more in blue reading record) about your favourite part of the story?

This week, we are consolidating our learning relating to addition and language related to addition.

• Can you find two groups of different objects and add them altogether?

• Can you do 10 star jumps?
• Do a Go Noodle dance! Teach someone in your family a routine.

I then put the mixture into cupcake cases. This is a very simple activity but they taste great (tested!!). 

You could ask your child these questions to encourage them to think about scientific processes:

  • Before melting the chocolate: what do you think is going to happen when we put the chocolate over the heat? 

  • When the chocolate is melting: what is happening now?

  • What do you think would happen if we left the melted chocolate out for a long time? 

  • What other materials/objects do you know that melt (e.g. ice, snow)?

They understood that bad germs that come when you cough or sneeze  must be washed away with soap and water immediately! An important lesson learned.

  • Can you show your grown up how to wash your hands for the right amount of time (sing the song 'Happy Birthday' or count to 20)?
