Hi can i clarify the role of "contextual factors"? it seems that under the concept of "equity", actions taken should be the same across cultural and everyone is seen thru the same lens. But would that mean that we are also not considering how culture and beliefs (the context in which the family exist) have an impact on the clients? the fact that we are seeing it thru the same lens also implies that we dont consider the culture?

how can i help clients to build reflexivity? sometimes when i use SFQ or interventive interviewing, clients are quite stuck and cant seem to explore possibility and solutions, or even exception. especially in families where basic needs are not met. i think i struggle with meeting their basic needs, fire fighting vs building reflexivity to promote change

Understand that it is important to engage informal network like neighbours. But i was wondering what would be the effect on family when non professionals (like neighbours) are involved? as in asian context, there a strong belief of not airing dirty laundry outside (keep internal business to internal members). how much should we share with these non professionals and how can we get family's buy in? How to ensure boundaries for these network because i do foresee overinvolvement in these informal network but further perpetuate blaming and feelings of not good enough

So we have covered various framework/tools on our first two days, and it is getting clearer now which tool falls under which category (SDM or PFS).

However, I am still a little confused as to a few of the tools/tables/framework we have learned. I think it would be helpful to have a one-page snapshot of all the tools/tables/framework parked under their individual categories.

For example, under SDM (we have safety assessment and LFH tools), under PFS (we have COSS, Network Table, Three Houses etc.). Where does CAP, SFQ, Safe Access Tool, Access Safety Planning falls under? Are they stand-alone and fall under an "others" category, related to either SDM or PFS or is/are one of the tools under either SDM or PFS. It would be helpful to also include the tools/framework/table that will be covered on Day 3, 4 and 5.

Having a big picture like this would help give a clearer picture of what SDM and PFS are about and how they come together as we can then imagine in our heads how the tools are used at different processes of the SDM model.

Otherwise, the course has been very helpful as I am now better able to see what SDM and PFS entails in our OHC work with CPOs. Thank you!

When rating the FSNA, do we take into consideration and balance between the harm that was caused vs actions of protections/strengths? For example for Parenting Skills, we acknowledge that NM left the children unattended for long periods. But the CAPF also states that there are some strengths where NM feeds Xiu Ying properly when she is present. Do we need to factor this part in when rating?

What if the picture that the parents describe as their ideal picture during the initial process (in stage 2 of the process) is one of abuse?

For forgetful people like me, it would be great if you can from time to time remind us how one document relates to another...eg from Cap framework to ....) ie.where to extract information (eg. FSNA grading) from one document and where they go in the next document (eg. access safety plan)
