My name is Pablo, and I work in Engineering with the goal of making Glovo more reliable without sacrificing the speed of delivering new features to our customers.

Something I learned as a leader (and as a parent) is the principle of Resilience Over Happiness. I believe a leader's goal isn't to keep everyone happy all the time. Instead, focus is on helping build resilience within the team, supporting them through challenges, and empowering them with the skills needed to grow.

I'm Nino Leading Q-commerce in Ge, trying to change the habits how customers do their grocery & retail shopping.

I believe as a leaders, we should be focusing more on helping people grow, not numbers, and it is very exciting and very very challenging.

Looking after him taught me calm triage, celebrating tiny wins and staying steady under pressure, the same mindset I bring to leading my team and to training for my next Ironman.

I'm Koen, working in Finance for the Africa region and almost 4 years in Glovo. Trying to make the fastest growing region in Glovo not forget about profitability :))

One thing I became more aware of this year is the added value of balancing immediate feedback with brief separate, reflective discussions on performance and development beyond the regular performance reviews.

Book rec: Too Big to Fail, it's an inside look at the 2008 financial crisis and the high-stakes decisions that shaped its outcome. It showcases the extreme level of irrationality that was happening in the banking/investment industry in a way that's interesting also for any type of reader.

Leadership, for me, starts with one question: “how can I help others grow stronger than myself?” For me, leadership begins with leading through my own actions and setting the tone by example. I believe my role is to help others grow and eventually become even better than I was at that stage of my journey. I focus on making the “why” clear, because when people understand the purpose, the “how” naturally follows. I see leadership as a shared path of continuous learning, where I grow alongside my team. At the heart of it, leadership is about inspiring trust, empowering others, and moving forward together.

The book i would suggest every leader and especially people who are planning to open their own companies: “The One Minute Manager”, thank me later 🚀

Currently I'm 3,5 years in Glovo already (& many more to come)

I've always wanted to become a manager (or more, a leader of a team and help other people grow) and now I'm celebrating my first year as a manager. I can only say it's been everything but smooth as I thought: had to re-structure a team, manage exit processes, BoTs, new hires, difficult conversations.

I learnt that before being the best leader of someone else I can be the best leader for myself - listening to my ambitions, career path growth, what I want, how I like to work, etc... - But I still have a lot to learn.
