1. Can teachers in Colombia benefit from a postmethod pedagogy? Explain your answer.

-I think teachers can not only benefit from it but we are mostly missing out on applying it entirely.

Using it will really help us transform at the very least our learning environments, freeing us from outdated, predetermined methods used for teaching thought to only spread out disconnected notions of language without any relevance for our students.

2. What kind of limitations do you think teachers in Colombia would encounter when implementing postmethod pedagogy?

-I think the biggest limitations would be intrinsic and also coming from within the educational system. We are not "allowed" to teach, say, do or act on certain things. Moreover, we fear our perception and subsequently our job would be diminished for trying to implement the principles of postmethod pedagogy.

I believe so. First of all, it encourages teachers to see beyond their usual classroom mechanic, expanding the horizon of possibility and freedom when teaching in matter of which methods, approaches or resources to make use of. On the other hand, and probably the most benefitial aspect of it all, is that the outcomes of the process of teaching will trascend the mere fact of imparting knowledge, and will instead be conceived as a possibility for addressing the immediate, and even not so immediate, needs and challenges that a particular context may be facing.

2. What kind of limitations do you think teachers in Colombia would encounter when implementing postmethod pedagogy?

Colombia has a generally conservative society in many ways. Education in particular suffers tremendously due to this. The ways, goals and mechanics of education are often permeated by outdated methods that were long ago debunked by the international community, yet persist to exist here. The innevitable clash of new methods and ingrained traditional approaches may become noticeable in aspects like going against instutional rules or standards or finding little to no alignment with national educational guidelines. Also, the critical consciousness that is inherent to this pedagogy may be perceived as dangerous or incendiary by some, therefore censored or fought.

In Colombia we can absolutely take advantage of postmethod approach, although teachers may do not how to execute it. We have diverse context where we can tailor these metodologies and underscore their significance and advantages. One the other hand sometimes we have to follow standards and policies and this can be a barrier to go beyond and apply it. I think the biggest limitation are the system implemnted by the scool or education, also the socio-economic aspects that do not allow to have the enough resourses to apply it properly.
