In this book, Ghost has very strong feelings, and this can be hard. Ghost had been bullied, and he has been through a traumatic experience.

Ghost is a push-over, and he wants to prove he's better than everyone. And maybe his joining the track team can be a good thing. He can burn all this trauma by running.

Ghost is a kind and thoughtful person. In chapter eight, he tells us that he was gonna save some duck for his mom because they have been eating hospital food.

Castle is working on being a better person; he doesn't wanna deal with all the altercation, but he has to accept what he has done

"I mean, I had been eating hospital food almost every day during the week for, I don't even know how long."

Ghost's mother is overprotective of him. She wants to ensure He is taken care of after everything that has happened in his past.

Terri is a very busy woman; she's learning how to be a nurse, and she is taking care of Ghost. In the book, it tells us she takes classes in the morning, which can tell us that she's busy.

I feel like Terri is trying to be more trusting of Ghost and what he does. Even though she is super busy, she is now starting to trust Coach and Ghost.

Terri sounds like a fun mom. She loves to watch cringey love movies according to Ghost. And she loves to rewatch her favorite one.

Coach is a very supportive man; he's there for everyone and Castle. He pushes him to be the best and fastest that Castle can be.

Coach is truthful; he opens up and shares about his medal and how it got sold for 20$. Coach also shared that his dad was abused when he did drugs.

In the book, coach Otis Broady said, "You can't run away from who you are, but what you can do is run toward the person you wanna be."

Coach Otis Broady wants everyone to get to know each other. At the dinner, he wanted the newbies to share a secret to make them closer and to trust each other.

Coach is always there for Ghost; no matter the situation, he is there. For example, when he was suspended, he pretended to be his uncle and he picked Ghost up.

Lu has shared something that was very personal; he shared that his mom couldn't have kids and that he always wanted a brother.

In the book, Lu can be a good friend, and he cares for everyone around him. He even tells Ghost that he did a great job, which is a good friend.

At first, Ghost and Lu didn't like each other's presence. This was because Ghst though that Lu was very cocky and he though that he was better than everyone.

"I've always wanted a brother. But my mom cant have no more kids. And the reason I wanted one is because I could've seen what I would've look like if I wasn't albino."

Lu is a little embarrassed of his Ablioism. He sometimes thinks that because he is albino, people won't like him.

Sunny is a positive person. He may not be that fast, but he is good at running. He pushes through and gets an award. He did his best and made it, and I think that's amazing.

When Sunny expressed his secret, he seemed brave to me. He shared that he had lost his mom; his mother passed while giving birth to him. Meaning he had never met her.

Sunny explained how his mom died giving birth to him and how she loved to run. He told us that he runs for her even if his dad makes him; he still wants to do it for her.

Sunny isn't a sprinter, but he is a good runner. He's not fast, but he's not slow. Since he isn't a sprinter, he's more of a long runner.

"So, I don't have a mom" Sunny said "I mean I do, but she's gone. She passed away giving birth to me."

Patty also shared that her mom has no legs. Her mom lost her legs to diabetes. Patty must have also been brave to share that she's adopted.

Patina is a very caring person she took in everyone's secrets and shared with them that is ok. She also was very understanding.

Patina is probably my favorite because she can prove everyone wrong. She also doesn't care what people think about her.

"Yeah, I'm apodted, as y'all know," Patty continued. "But I'm not like most adopted kids. Most don't know their folks. But I do."

Patty is also a sprinter, and she is one of the fastest, according to Ghost. When Ghost was watching them run, he stated that Patina was fast.

Mr. Charles is a nice man; he helps Castle with hard situations and when he needs sunflower seeds. Mr. Charles helps Castle and gives him the best advice.

Ghost shares that Mr.Charles is a "white James Brown" who loves old cowboy films and has hard hearing, which is annoying sometimes.

Mr. Charles owns a store his store has a bunch of things. He would only buy 6 things of each kind. He would also have Ghost help him.

"I believe you. I told you, kid, you're one of the world's greatest."

Mr. Charles always gives great advice to Ghost. For example, when Ghost runs away from school,he told him that everything will be ok and they make a deal not to skip school

Dad Cranshaw is feared by his own family, such as his wife and kid. Afterward, he tried to shoot them while having too many beverages.

"Don't make me do this, Terri!" he angry-begged, but me and my mom kept rolling. The sound of the gun cocking. "As soon as she swung the door open, my dad fired" (Pg. 6)

Before Dad Cranshaw went to jail. He sounded like a nice guy (without the achocl addiction). He would just eat sunflower seeds and watch TV.

Dad Cranshaw didn't even care about how he treated his wife and son. Later that night, he was just on the porch with the gun and beer.

Dad Cranshaw's actions affected Ghost because now he can't even sleep in his room because of the trauma that he caused.
