Their large ears help release heat and keep their body cool. Their long trunks are used for breathing, drinking, grabbing food, and communicating. Thick skin protects them from injury and the sun. Their strong legs support their heavy body and help them travel long distances to find water and food. These adaptations help both animals to survive in their different habitats.
