Today for your class virtual really tour we visit Mars. I am so excited to hear about this field trip. The Rover landed on the Mars surface. We saw the Rover landed on the surface of Mars. See the Mars landing makes me feel very happy. I told my Dad, " One day, can I go to Mars?" Dad said, " Yes son, soon astronaut will be able to land on Mars." I use the mouse to move the camera on the Rover & took a picture of the bedrocks. I had a lot of fun control the Rover camera system & point to where we want to look. When looking at Mars, it looks like mountains of desert rocks. Dad asked me, " Do you want to live on Mars?" I answer, " Not way. I do want to live on Mars because I will be burnt." Although we enjoy the virtual tour of Mars, I think it is safe to be home on earth for now.

When my mom told me" Mack today your teacher wants you to go on a virtual trip to mars" I got so excited. Our last virtual field trip to the Aquarium was my favorite. It was so cool to watch the rover land on Mars. I was able to control where I wanted to go and see. It was fun learning about the rover. After exploring for a while I saw that there was not much to see on Mars. I told my mom" it kind of looks liked desert on our way to Laughlin" she said "yes" I enjoyed my virtual trip to Mars but I wish that there was more to see on Mars.

Kinson and I said, "Yes!" Mom logged on to Padlet and clicked on Ms. Nguyen's "Virtual Field Trip to Mars" post. We got so excited we are going to Mars today! First, I saw a rocket blasting into the sky and counted 5,4,3,2,1....and we landed on Mars. Then, We saw dirt and some blue stuff. "What is that?" mom asked. "It is frozen water," Kinson said, "because it is very cold on Mars." Mom and I said, "Oh! Mars is not hot but cold?" Kinson said, "Many people think Mars is hot, but it is cold because Mars is the farthest rock planet from the sun." After a really long chat we continued to explore Mars. Next, I controlled the rover to move around on Mars. I clicked on something then I am standing next to some water. Mars is really cool but I don't see anyone there. Finally, we went back to Earth. That was the virtual field trip and I hope that we can explore other planets soon!

Have you ever visited another planet? Well, I went to Mars yesterday. I asked my dad, “Can we take the rocket ship to go to Mars?” He said “Ok, but it’ll take a long time. Like 10 seconds.” Then he laughed.

The rocket ship that took us to Mars was called Curiosity and it actually took 8 months for it to get to Mars from Earth. Curiosity has lots of cameras on it so that I can see the surface of the planet. When we landed, the area was flat but looked like there was water on it. I liked “jumping” from one spot to a new spot when moving around Mars. Then I finally saw hills which was nice but it still looked like the red desert. I thought it was cool going to another planet, but I still like it more at home.

I can’t wait for the next field trip.
