We are not lecturers or experts in these fields. It is rather inauthentic to have us read a lecture, when 1. "real" lecturers would not read from notes 2. we tell students all the time to not read from their notes during a presentation. I ad-libbed a few times, which was ok sometimes, but sometimes I found that I missed content that was then needed on the follow-up questions. Either way, my second group always got a better lecture than the first one.

I think the content of these lectures needs to be more current, interesting, and relevant. We might consider some topics related to their majors: science, economics, architecture etc...or topics that are in the news.
