Mexico 

Even though it is legal to carry a gun in Mexico, it is very hard to do so. “just south of the US border, the Mexican government has a strict hold over civilian gun ownership. Although Mexicans have a right to buy a gun, bureaucratic hurdles, long delays, and narrow restrictions make it extremely difficult to do so.” Only members of the police or military can buy large weapons, like a semiautomatic rifle. (those are commonly used in school shootings). 

Guatemala

Guatemala, like Mexico, has very strong restrictions on gun ownership.  They are not allowed to have fully automatic weapons but semiautomatic weapons are legal but you have to have a permit, and it can be hard to get. 

The US
