DNA(Deoxyribonucleic acid) is an organic chemical that contains genetic information and instructions for protein synthesis. It's a thread-like structure present in the nucleus of a cell. The structure of DNA is a double helix made by repeating subunits called nucleotides which are long chains with the composition of different sugars: Deoxyribose sugar, Phosphate group and Nitrogenous bases which next includes adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine. These bases are joinded together by base pair rule which makes genetic code and genetic code determines features or particular traits of am organism. DNA also replicates which two strands are unzipped by an enzyme. This replication is called "semi-consevative" because each DNA molecule is made by one new and one old strand.
Laiba Akhtar

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a molecule composed of two polynucleotide chains that coil around each other to form a double helix carrying genetic instructions for the development, functioning, growth and reproduction of all known organisms and many viruses. DNA and ribonucleic acid are nucleic acids The major function of DNA is to encode the sequence of amino acid residues in proteins, using the genetic code. To read the genetic code, cells make a copy of a stretch of DNA in the nucleic acid RNA. There are four nitrogenous bases in DNA, adenine, guanine ,cytosine and thymine. A DNA molecule is composed of two strands. Each strand is composed of nucleotides bonded together covalently between the phosphate group of one and the deoxyribose sugar of the next. The nucleotides forming each DNA strand are connected by noncovalent bonds, called hydrogen bonds. Considered individually, hydrogen bonds are much weaker than a single covalent bond, such as a phosphodiester bond. But, there are so many of them that the two DNA polymers are very strongly connected to each other. Bilal
