If you’re 16-18 years old and interested in exploring different careers in healthcare while getting paid, consider applying to St. Luke’s Health Career Exploration Program! This is a great opportunity to experience different areas of healthcare firsthand, learn more about the types of careers available, and get a better idea of what you may want to pursue in the future.

Volunteering at the Allentown Art Museum gives you the opportunity to job shadow museum educators and experience what it’s like to work in a museum setting. Students will gain hands-on experience working with visitors, assisting with educational programs, and learning about classroom management, all while being surrounded by art!

Military Recruiter Event - 9/20/2026

The 2026 Never Forget Ride, hosted by Woodstone Country Club, will bring cyclists, veterans, first responders, and members of the community together on Sunday, September 20, 2026, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 and raise money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

This year, the Never Forget Ride is placing emphasis on high school students and young adults who are considering their future career options in the military. As part of the Never Forget Ride this year, representatives from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps will be at Woodstone Country Club to speak directly with students about opportunities available after high school.

The Perry Outreach Program - Apply by 11/12/2026

Interested in engineering, medicine, or surgery?
The Perry Outreach Program on December 12th is a free, one-day experience that lets high school students explore careers in orthopaedic surgery and engineering in a very hands-on way.

Students hear from local orthopaedic surgeons and engineers, then get to try activities like mock orthopaedic surgeries and biomedical engineering challenges and experiments.

All grade levels are encouraged to apply, and participation is free!

The National Museum of Industrial History is hosting Steel Weekend on October 10th and 11th, which provides students with a great chance to explore Pennsylvania’s manufacturing and skilled trades while enjoying free admission, machine demonstrations, and hands-on activities.

This year, they will be hosting a career-readiness-focused “Tricks of the Trade” roundtable at 3:00 PM on October 10, where trades workers will talk about how they learned their trades and the different career paths that brought them into the industry. It’s a unique opportunity to hear firsthand how people built careers in the trades!
