I really like quote that talks about promoting and participating in teacher collaboration with school improvement. To me, we are all on the same team and all working toward the same goal. I think that sometimes that gets lost and we really start to just focus on ourselves instead of the students. We need to make our school the best we can for the students in it to be successful.

I loved Linda Lambert's statement, "Teacher leaders are those whose dreams of making a difference have either been kept alive or have been reawakened by engaging with colleagues..."

It is so easy to lose that dream sometimes when you have a very difficult student, your test scores aren't where you want them, or your kiddos come is so low, you question how you can even get started. However when you are able to talk about that with your team, they can help you find a way to meet that student that's giving you trouble, ideas and strategies to try in your classroom to reach your kiddos. Collaboration and adaptiveness are big components in meeting your kids and growing as a teacher and/or leader.
