My name is Victoria Fleming and I'm a first-year PhD student. I graduated from the Austin campus in 2018 with my MPH and completed my undergrad degree from Baylor. I currently work as a grant writer for a domestic violence non-profit. 

I'm interested in studying disparities among health care access/quality among marginalized communities, particularly in the context of mental health, addiction, and infectious disease. 

My hobbies include taking care of my golden retriever (pictured above - although she is much bigger now!), working out, cooking, improv, and spending time with my friends and family. Some of my public health interests include emergency management, community health, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. 
 
I just graduated from Texas A&M University with a BSPH, so I am currently getting used to being out of my Aggie bubble. I currently work at 24 Hour Fitness. I enjoy helping our members in every stage of their fitness journeys; they inspire me every day.  
 
When I’m not working or doing school related activities, I enjoy doing anything fitness related (running, weightlifting, bouldering, playing tennis, and the list goes on and on), spending time with my twin sister via FaceTime (she is currently pursuing her PhD in Chemical Education at Iowa State University) and my nana, watching Private Practice on repeat, baking, and shopping.
