Objective: Recognize vocabulary related to food 

                 Completing quotes with words related to food

Sts will look at the pictures and guess what they all have in common, that is, they make reference to food. Then the teacher will ask them: what type of sentences / texts are these? (Teacher will try to elicit the word quote, motivational phrases, etc) Sts may even say they usually see these type of phrases on IG, such as ´Be quiet and…´

Next sts will read the different quotes and complete them with the words given.  After completing them, the teacher will ask them to think about the meaning of the quotes/phrases, for example:´One day I´m goíng to make the onion cry´: Can you make an onion cry? Why would somebody like to make an onion cry? Do you usually cry when you cut an onion? There will be a little class debate.

Finally they may even vote for the most creative quote, and also, invent their own ones

Topic: Family members- personality adjectives

Objective: Recognize vocabulary related to family members and personally adjectives

                 Completing an article with phrases given

The teacher will ask students to look at the image, read the info in the bubble and predict what the text will be about. What kind of text do you think it is? Why do you think the little duck says so? What is the relationship among them? Are they just friends, siblings? 

After reading the title , the teacher will ask students whether birth order influences one´s personality. They may say yes or no, or it depends . So the teacher will ask them to read the text to check if there is any connection between birth order and personality. They read, and then check.

Next, the teacher will ask them to complete the text with the missing phrases, reasons. Students will re read the text, complete the paragraphs and check. 

Finally, they  will classify the personality adjectives present in the text according to people's position in the family. They may even add some others.

Topic: Climate Change (This is one of the activities included in the school project for climate change awareness)

Contents: vocabulary related to natural disasters, global warming, and pollution and their causes and effects, and the modal verb “Should/ Shouldn´t” vs “Must/Mustn´t”

Objectives: Become aware of environmental pollution.

                     Recognize the responsibility of human beings.

                     Identify and promote actions from home and school to help the environment.

                     Use of the modal verbs “should/Shouldn´t and Must /Mustn´t” to write sentences.  

Activity:

1)      To introduce the topic, the teacher shows the image as a warm-up activity to activate the background and brainstorm ideas.
1)      After Students identify the environmental issues, they watch a video on their cell phones about climate change. They can take notes. Work in groups. 2)      The teacher explains briefly the use of Should and Shouldn´t and gives examples. 

3)      Whole Class debate: identify the causes of climate change.

4)      Group work: outline actions and correctly write sentences using modal verbs. Students can include images in their proposals.
