This play takes place London, England 1912. It predominately takes place in Professor Higgins' home in which the speech lessons are taking place for Eliza Doolittle. The significance of the setting shows how important society and the image you portray. If you didn't look, talk, or act like the elite they would shun you from their groups. These groups were very tightly wound and only a few were welcomed. This play emphasizes the importance of etiquette of the era.

I enjoyed reading and watching the play. There were a few things that I didn't enjoy about the play, and that was how Professor Higgins treated Eliza. She had done nothing to him to deserve that kind of treatment. The play kind of opened my eyes to the way things were back then for women. Overall I enjoyed reading the play and watching it, it made sense once we started watching it.
