To look after the Earth, and thus God's dominion is our responsibility. Incorporating the past lessons, we are all sinners. God gave his Son, Christ, to save us. The Church is willed by God to make our encounter with Him possible. I believe this is the reason why we are commanded to attend the Sunday Masses, which most of us do not oblige. Before taking up this course, I thought praying by myself works as an alternative for hearing the Sunday masses. I did not even know why I existed, other than the fact that I need to make my parents proud and fulfill my dreams. It was basically a relativistic view – a subjective notion. 
During the first few weeks of classes, I was trying to figure out why we have sufferings. Upon watching the videos like the Camel and Zacchaeus, I learned the forgiving God is always there. He is present at our highest and lowest points. He lives in me. He lives in all of us, and that is the Mystery of Man. Our Mystery. I want to be a successful doctor in order to help others but there is also an idea of gaining money. Hahaha I can't say that I'm too materialistic but I am really encapsulated by the fact that I would be happy if I have a lot of money. But this course enlightened me on what my purpose in life should be. I had this experience wherein we joined contest knowing that we only practiced the day before the competition proper. But we did not waste our time in our practice, we offered everything to God. Luckily, we won 2nd place. Isn't that a proof showing that with God nothing is impossible as long as we do our part. We just need to believe and let God take over. As for myself, before I took this course, what I thought about my purpose is to fulfill my own dreams. But now, I realized that there is more to my own happiness and desires. The more important thing is the betterment not only of myself, but also of the other people around me. I realized that I should also consider them as part of my happiness. I think some people are not able to answer this question because they have never thought about their life purpose yet. They just live and do whatever makes them happy and satisfied without consulting what their purpose really is.

I think this is because we have different experiences and capabilities that we know we have in ourselves. Experiences make up our beliefs, and our beliefs affect our own understanding of purpose. Usually, many people believe that their purpose is always in line with their own desires and happiness but that’s not always the case because one’s happiness and desires are sometimes not pleasing to God.

With regards to the purpose of man, I do think most people find that hard to answer because we are very biased. Individualism, Relativism, Secularism, Hedonism, Consumerism, and Materialism exist. For instance, we are attached with material things, even though we know that these are temporary. I may have committed mistakes, but as my grandfather said, things can go out of my hand in spite of my best efforts. Some mistakes will bring me exactly in this right place. Here we are in Biochemistry course, belonging to section 1BBC. God has planned this. He has planned for us to have an encounter with a miracle child. He has planned us to be more vocal in sharing our experiences in life because He lives in us. I did share my story, and I felt more relieved. I have mourned for a long time. Just like in the Beatitude, Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
