According to the paragraph, "What happened to the Calusa?", many of them  were captured and sold for slaves. They also died out from diseases brought by the Spanish and French explorers called smallpox and measles. People believe that the little but some remaining Indians left for Cuba when the Spanish Indians put Florida in to Great Britain's hands in 1763! Wow, it's crazy to believe that we are living in a state that used to be controlled by the British people.

Yes they did get wiped out by diseases. These diseases were brought over by the early explorers. The Native Americans were not immune to these diseases. Whole tribes were wiped out. Great job!

The calusa tribe were feared. And they liked fishing they also liked to make jewelry out of shells they were not the farming type in fact they never farmed before they hunted deer and other prey with fish bones man and boys made nets and caught catfish and other sea animals they could catch while girls and woman collect crabs and smaller things This is what i learned. .
