in Jogja the traditional culture is playing a wayang show for the whole night, The wayang is played by a person called the Dalang which plays the wayang and the Wayang is trying to tell a story.


one of the most famous foods from Jogja is gudeg, It’s a dish made with jack fruit that has not fully riped yet. The jackfruit is boiled with coconut milk and a little bit of brown sugar. Spices such as garlic, bay leaves, shallot, teak leaves, galangal and coriander seed are usually added to the dish.


the traditional celebration is sekaten ceremony This event is a Javanese tradition event commemorating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW. The people of Yogya assume that if they participate in this commemoration then they will get rewarded in the longevity of life from the God Almighty and as for the terms and condition, they must chew betel leaves in the yard of the Great Mosque from the beginning of the event started till finish.

In Surabaya and Semarang their language is similar but my mom speaks rough javanese and my dad speaks with smooth javanese.

In Surabaya the most popular culinary are soto ayam and rawon. In Semarang the most popular culinary are lumpia Semarang and wingko babat. Because they have different origin there taste in food is kinda different, my mom is more into salty foods and my dad is more into sweet foods.

In East Java the most popular traditional dance is Reog Ponorogo and in Central Java the most popular dance is the Gambyong dance

One of the most popular traditions in East Java is Karapan Sapi where two cows have a race. In Central Java one of the most popular traditions is Wetonan where they will do a ceremony if a baby is born.

The name of a traditional Acehnese house is Rumoh Aceh. It consists of different components with different functions. Those components are Seuramoe-ukeu (front porch), Seuramoe-likoot (back porch), Rumoh-Inong (main house), Rumoh-dapu (kitchen), Seulasa (terrace), Kroong-padee (rice barn), Keupaleh (gate), and Tamee (pole).
There are several tribes that live in Aceh including Aceh, Gayo, Alas,  Kluet, Simeulue, Singkil, Tamiang, and Ulu. 
Aceh has many traditional foods. One of the famous conventional food is timphan. Timphan is a steamed banana dumpling. 
There are several famous dances from Aceh. The most popular one is called Saman, and its origin is from the Gayo ethnic group Gayo Lues. The Saman dance is usually performed by men and is typically performed to celebrate important occasions. 
Aceh’s traditional musical instruments are: Arbab, Sarune Kalee, Taktok Trieng, Geundrang, Bangsi Alas, Canang, and Rapai.
The name of the traditional weapon of Aceh is called rencong. It is a type of knife. In year 1999 timor leste had their independence referendum, so since then, timor leste is not part of Indonesia. Eventhough my father comes from timor leste, his nationality is indonesian.  My mom is a sundanese. Sundanese  loves to eat lalapan and siomay and batagor. While foods from timor leste are more like portuguese foods. There is this traditional fabrics from timor leste called kain tais. While sundanese would wear kebaya for special occasions like for weddings or traditional events. There is traditional songs like manuk dadali and bubuy bulan; I remembered performing dances for cikal playground of parahyangan with ruisya. The second I'm going to share is Palembang. The traditional food from Palemband is mpek-mpek. Palembang traditional house is rumah Limas. The traditional dance from Palembang is tari tanggai. The outfit from Palembang is Aesen Gede. 

The last one is Central Java. The traditional house from Java is is rumah Joglo. Wayang Kulit is one of the culture from Central Java.
