I feel this is so important and makes sense. Maslow's Hierarchy of needs show how someone can learn and functions by meeting each need on the pyramid to build upon the other needs. Teachers that follow this theory might start the day with a SEL lesson or warm up. It goes beyond the cognitive and takes on a more holistic approach.
