         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Performance Task seems doable, but students will need to access strategies and skills that may not be recent.&nbsp;<br><br>Students may have multiple entry points into the problems, but when faced with "unknowns" (strategies, skills, what the question is asking) they may shut down. Students need practice with these types of tasks and utilizing what they have/know- understanding that there are multiple ways to address the same prompt, teachers need to explicitly teach how to approach the prompts.&nbsp;<br><br>Everyone needs to understand that the math involved on PTs is usually 1-2 grade levels below where students are at- in HS that usually means around 8th grade.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Original Direction:<br>Explain any mathematics you did to reach your conclusion.<br><br>When I read students' sample work, I saw many students just explained without presenting specific numbers/percent. That's why many students earned 1 point, not 2 points. I think that is because students do not understand the word "explain any mathematics" clearly.<br><br>How could it be different/ clear for students to answer better?<br><br></div>]]></description>
