The program was some what successful as it worked in the begaining of the depression but as time went on it began to be less successful and later went bankrupt in 2012. It did help people when they waned to buy house as it helped with morgage and was really used about in it life span.

I believe that is was a responsible use of federal funding. As it supported those that need or needed help with funding to still live or get a house. This helps war veterans get housing for them and their family helping them which is good since Americans love to help their vets. Even after 80 years it still had a good reputation as people learned Americans loved their people.

Some people were critical about this as people saw it was a waste of money or just a way to help those with houses already and not trying to help those with nothing.
