      <description>Biocapacity is the ecosystems&#39; capacity to produce biological materials used by people and to absorb waste material generated by humans, under current management schemes and extraction technologies.
Ecological Footprint generally refers to the Ecological Footprint of consumption. 
You are called to present here your findings for your paired country and the comparison between your countries. Which measures, in your opinion could be adapted in this country?  Students of the paired country comment on those, and provide info for measures that have already adapted.

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When the Ecological Footprint of a population exceeds the biocapacity of the area occupied by that population, happens an ecological deficit. The ecological footprint indicates how much demand human consumption places on the biosphere.&nbsp;<br>France has some problems with biocapacity deficit, but after all it has only 82% excess, respect to other nations that have 400% excess.<br>France is at 11th place in the world ranking for ecological footprint, with a request of 299M global hectares, and it's at 44th place in the world ranking for ecological footprint per capita, with a request of 4.6 global hectares per person.<br>France has a good total biocapacity with 164M global hectares avaible and it's at 13th place in the world ranking.<br>France is at 48th position for total biocapacity per capita, with 2.5 global hectares per person.<br>An helpful advice I can give is to consume less and use responsibly your total biocapacity.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>An ecological deficit happens when the Ecological footprint (the demand that human consumption places on the biosphere), exceeds the biocapacity of that particular area.<br>france places at the lower ranks, and its percentage of biocapacity deficit is 82%.<br>The total ecological footprint of France is 299,000,000 global hectares, still quite high compared to other countries. The total ecological footprint can be divided by the total population of the nation&nbsp; to obtain this value per person. france is at the 44th rank, this means that every single person consumes about 4.6 global hectares.<br>The biocapacity is the area of productive land available to produce resources. France ranks quite high: 13th place. The average biocapacity per person is 1.8 global hecetares, and France is at 48th place and requires 2.5 global hectares per person.<br>The advice I can give to France is to try to consume less. On average its placement on every classification is not that bad, but I think it should prioritize its biocapacity and use it responsibly.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The ecological footprint in Austria in 2017 was 3.77 (very hight). In the same time in Greece it was 2.58. In country’s use of cropland, forests, grazing land, and fishing grounds for providing resources we have more or less similar data recordings but carbon is much higher in Austria compared to Greece and the average in Europe..&nbsp;<br>Both countries have an HDI higher than O.7 so have high human development but Greece seems to live more within the means of nature although in both countries ecological footprint needs to fall. Maybe Austria could have better results if population consume more locally and seasonally.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Comparing the ecological footprint of Turkey (3.5) and Serbia (2.8) for 2017, we notice that it is very high and higher in Turkey than in Serbia. On the other hand, the data for Serbia have been monitored for the last ten years, so we cannot get a precise impression of how and what happened to the ecological footprint over a longer period, and therefore it is more difficult to compare these two countries.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<pre>We have almost similar data records as far as arable land is concerned, but carbon is much higher in Austria compared to Greece. The HDI of both countries is higher than O.7, which means that human development is high. In both countries the ecological footprint must be reduced. What Austria could possibly change would be to start consuming more seasonal products.</pre><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As you can see the biggest difference between those countries is related to carbon. Austria is a bigger country so  I suppose that an amout of greenhouse gases is related to transportation. Maybe those could avoided. Forest restoration could also help. </div>]]></description>
