While other river valley civilisations had to make complicated and labour intensive techniques to irrigate, Egyptians used a simple technique called basin irrigation, in which you just have a big pool (the basin) In which water collects and the pressure pushes it into pipes that send it to the crops. Pyramids are not only beautiful structures, but also symbols of great political control; beacause it is NOT easy to convince someone to devote their lives to making a huge coffin for a very small payment for such a big job, especially if that coffin is for someone else. They were built mainly by pheasants and slaves, but not by Moses (egyptian for children). He started at 1659, which ended the new kingdom, and finished at 1650, at the end of the egyptian empire.
