Part time Job

I have recently got a part time job at Greggs.As part of me securing the team member position I had to attend a interview.Once I had passed the interview.I had to go for my induction day at the shop and meet all of the staff and start my training.On my induction I did some till training and I started making the food for the customers.It was quite nervous at first but when I got talking to the customers and talking their orders I became more confident and knew what I was doing.

When I Enrolled at college I used communication all thought the way from coming into college and then speaking to my course leader.When I came into college I was told to go see my course leader and to show my GCSE results and I had to use communication to let her know my grades and tell her a little bit about myself .Then I talked to Kirsty and she got me onto my course and I got told I was on level 3 I had to use communication to talk to the teachers.

Dance

I have been dancing for 10 years now and when I first started dancing I had to communicate with my dance teachers and my dance partners so we knew what we knew what we were doing.You always have to have communication when dancing so you know what you are doing.You have to communicate to your partner so you are comfortable with each other and dance together such as at a competition u need to have communication.When I first started dancing I was nervous and then through the years I got better and better I kept getting lots of awards and this shows how I have been communicating with my dance teacher and how brilliant my communication is between my partner and my dance teacher

I have been a leader many times such as in work at burger king and I work at the front and shout peoples orders out and when I am bagging up the orders I am being a leader and get everything in order so that orders do not fall behind and people get their food quickly. Also in secondary school I played lots of sports for example i used to be on the netball team and I used to be the captain and I used to lead my team to try and win I used to come up with strategies to make our team better and play against other teams and making sure our team was understanding in what to do in the game.Also,in travel and tourism we have done a pre flight briefing where we had to stand up and present in the airplane how to use the seatbelts, oxygen masks and where the exits are in the airplane.

I have showed teamwork in many ways when in travel and tourism we did some litter picking as a group we got into pairs and collected as much rubbish as we could and we worked together to make sure it was clean and tidy, we helped each other one person picked up with the rubbish with a picker and the other person was holding the bags open.Also,I am a dancer so when we are doing dances and if people need help with the cheography then everyone will help each other because if people do not get it then I will help them so that they will understand what to do.Futhermore,when we do assignments I will help people with their assignments because some people do not understand the content and so I will help them understand a bit better and I will show them what to do and it will help them.

Culture Capital

Culture Capital can include all events from around the world like cultural events for example in college we had culture week and this included us trying different foods from different cultures and this expanded my taste blands also we tried on exotic and cultural head wear and clothing that they wear in parades and different cultures and this expanded my knowledge about peoples different cultures and what they wear.Then,also during this week we did different culture dances that people do in their country and what dances they do in carnival and how they dance during a parade and I really enjoyed this because we learned how other people dance in different countries all around the world.

Three pieces of evidence for problem solving

In travel and tourism lessons before we had to solve a travel puzzle so it was a puzzle of the world map and we had to problem solve to figure it out how to match up the pieces to match up the world map .

When doing my assignments sometimes I have a lot of assignments to do at a time and I have tight deadlines to get them done by so I have to problem solve to get all my coursework done in time to meet the deadlines.

Also I work at Burger King and I use problem solving a lot at work when I am working on the front I have to problem solve to get all of the orders right and make sure I get everything on the order they need from different compartments in the kitchen also I need to problem solve to get all the burgers out of the kitchen in time for the customers to eat .
