There are also 412 doors, 147 windows, 28 fireplaces, 8 staircases, and 3 elevators.&nbsp;<br><br>The grounds are also said to be haunted by many ghosts.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Chichen Itza is a Maya city located in Yucatan State, Mexico.<br><br>It was one of the largest Maya cities that had the most diverse Maya population.<br><br>The Chichen Itza's origin dates back to 600-900 AD, with the earliest hieroglyphic date dating to 832 AD.<br><br>Between 900-1050 AD, Chichen Itza had become a powerful capital controlling the majority of Yucatan State.<br><br>The Chichen Itza is apparently the most visited tourist site in Mexico.
