The lesson start with the introduction to a JavaScript library called jQuery which is used to simplify the JavaScript programming. It wraps long JavaScript code lines into new simple function calls. During the second part of the class, we were introduce to AJAX which is Asynchronous JavaScript and XML that allow changes in data to be rendered without to reload the page. Thus can improve user experience and utilize the users bandwith usage.

Towards the end of the class, fundamental of JSON are introduce. It is a lightweight text based data-interchange format language which is a subset of JavaScript object. It is easy to understand, manipulated and generate which is more or less likely similar to XML that is used for document content and information structure formatting. Before the class ended, we were briefed and given a lab exercise by Mr. Syafiq that make use of XML, AJAX and jQuery.

The source code use for the class tutorial can be found here :
https://gist.github.com/zikey2406/dae1b3123989cd26ff67150e601d4819

The Lab exercise source code can be found here:
https://github.com/zikey2406/MWP-4263.git

We were using XML as a client-server implementation by implementing AJAX to connect the client side (html) and server side (php) language. We create a database inside phpMyAdmin using MySQL and then create PHP file to fetch the database created as the XML at the server side. Then, XSL file are created and used to get the XML data at the client side.

More to that, we were introduced to a new libray called three.js, which is a 3D JavaScript library that use WebGL to create a 3D graphic within the web. The library was imported and integrated into

The source code use for the class tutorial can be found here :
https://gist.github.com/zikey2406/63e0eb945cfeb8f697ba2fc5342249c2

We started the class by individually presenting and explaining both of our Lab exercise work given before hand (Lab 01 and Lab 02) to Mr. Syafiq.

After all the presentation is done, we were introduced to X3DOM which is an open source framework for integrating and manipulating 3D scene as HTML5 DOM elements that is rendered via an X3D plugin, FLash/Stage3D or WebGL. It can display an interactive 3D scene using structural and textual representation.

At the end of the class, Mr Syafiq briefed us with the next Lab Exercise to be submitted after the mid-term break that make use of the language that have been taught in the class such as CSS, PHP, HTML, MySQL, jQuery, AJAX and XML.

The Lab exercise source code can be found here:
https://github.com/zikey2406/MWP-4263.git
