I am king James I and i was the first puritan king of England and i took over from the great queen Elizabeth. I was the first king to translate the bible into English and be called the kings James bible. I was honored to be the king who founded one of the most prominent settlements in the newly acquired lands of America. I named it James town.

Charles I (1625-1649)

I am Charles I and believe in the divine right of kings. the feud I had with the parliament over taxation, religion, and the governance led me to dissolve the governed body multiple times without their permission. I ended up causing the English civil war in 1642 due to my acts. my forces were called the royalists or also called the cavaliers and the other side was led by Oliver Cromwell and their side was called the round heads. I was war ended I'm defeat for my side and the royalist. I was executed for treason against my country.

Oliver Cromwell (1649-1658)

I am Oliver Cromwell I was a military leader during the English civil war and I was a puritan army general. I was crowned the Lord protector because of my success in then civil war. I ruled until my death in 1658. I abolished the monarchy and establishing the commonwealth and changed the government of England. I am also famously known for my part in the execution of James I and ruling england as a military dictator. I let the conquest of Ireland and Scotland and I attempted to name england as the dominant European power. I was strict on social control and I had a vision of a puritanical society.

Charles II

I am Charles II I had a rough time during the Cromwell rule , I was exiled to France by Cromwell because of a threat I posed to the throne as I was Charles I son. once Oliver Cromwell died I returned to england and restored the monarchy, which this period is also known as the restoration. I had some problems like the great fire of London in 1666 and a resurgence of the black plague. during my reign, I sought to heal the wounds left by the civil war. I pursued a policy of religious tolerance in a document called the declaration of indulgence

James II ( 1685-1688)

I am James II the roman catholic brother of charles II. I would be the last roman catholic king of England, Ireland, and Scotland because my brother II had 12 "illegitimate" children. since England was majority protestant, another Catholic king upset them and I faced a lot of challenges with religion. The challenges I faced because of religion and many others the Glorious revolution of England began. I was overthrown peacefully, I laid the foundation for the English bill of rights that limited power of the monarch.

William and Mary (1688-1702)

We are William and Mary.

Mary- I am the daughter of king James II but I was raised Protestant unlike my father. I married my 1st cousin William of orange who is a Protestant Dutch prince. When parliament kicked my father off they asked William to rule with me because woman could not rule alone. Me and William’s rule began the constitutional monarchy in England by agreeing to govern in accordance with the laws and decisions of the parliament. Our reign is known for passing of the English bill of rights in 1689 which officially limited the monarchy.
