What are they about?

This ad talks about Arab women in sports and how it's important to support them. It explains that in their culture, some people think women shouldn't do sports because it's considered more for men.

What makes them persuasive?

It's convincing because it shows different Arab women excelling in sports, proving that they can do it regardless of what some people might think. It also makes the point that their religion doesn't affect their ability to play sports.

Why did they impact you?

It was touching because it sheds light on the challenges Arab women face when they want to pursue sports. Also, it's important that they showed women wearing the veil and some not wearing it, showing that it's their choice.

Connect them to a global issue of interest to you.

The ad highlights the pressure women in the Middle East face due to religious beliefs. It's a big deal there because not following these beliefs can make you feel like you don't belong.

2010 - Human chain

What are they about?

Human Chain is all about showing how hard athletes work to be amazing at their sport. It does this by showing clones of the athlete doing the same move over and over again. This helps us see just how much time and practice they put in to be great at what they do.

What makes them persuasive?

It's convincing because it reminds us of the tough journey athletes go through. People who have played sports know it takes a lot of hard work to be really good. Plus, the ad shows the athletes making mistakes, which makes them seem more like regular people. The amazing camera angles also let us see just how sharpe their moves are.

Why did they impact you?

This ad got to me because it shows the struggle of failing and trying again, which is something we can all relate to. It also made me think about how diverse sports can be, with people of all ages and abilities taking part.

Connection to a global issue

This ad touches on a big issue in sports: athletes pushing themselves too hard. Sometimes, they go so far that they end up getting really hurt. So, it's a reminder that while it's great to aim for greatness, it's also important to take care of yourself.

2017 What are girls made of?

What are they about?

"Girls Made of What?" is all about showing how women are seen and treated, especially in Russia. It starts with a little girl singing a song that reflects stereotypes about girls. But then, the ad shifts to show powerful female athletes like ballet dancers and ice skaters from Russia.

What makes them persuasive?

The ad is convincing because it uses music and the image of a young girl to stir up emotions in the audience.

Why did they impact you?

It impacted me because it highlights strong women who excel in global competitions, yet face criticism from a society that hasn't achieved much. It also shows how these women balance their sport with their femininity, challenging stereotypes.

Connection to a global issue.

The campaign addresses the lack of recognition for women in Russia, despite their success in sports dominated by women. It shows how society views them as fragile and pure, denying them their true identity.

What are they about?

The ad is showing how women in sports are standing up for their rights, even though they're often surrounded by men. It encourages girls to dream big in sports.

What makes them persuasive?

It's convincing because it shines a light on the struggles women face in sports. By showing real stories of women who've been treated unfairly, it brings attention to these important issues.

Why did they impact you?

It afected me because it revealed the challenges many women face in sports just because they're women, even if they're incredibly talented athletes. It also made me see that Nike, the brand behind the ad, might not always practice what they preach, especially when it comes to supporting female athletes who want to start a family

Connection to a global issue.

The ad highlights the unfair treatment of women in sports worldwide. It shows how women are often seen as lesser athletes just because of their gender, which is a big problem that needs attention.
