The push factors of the Japanese Intigration was that after the "1868 Meiji Restoration, the japanese government began to industrialise and modernize". government needed money to pay for it so they began taxing heavily on farmers. 300,000 farmers lost their land because they could not pay the taxes.and there were a lot of jobs being lost.

The pull factors that lead to the Japanese Immagration was that the U.S had higher wages, economics were better and well japanese had a better time finding a job as " replacements".

The following image shows mainly a pull factor, the Japanese were pulled into Hawaii, because it was the closes one to where they came from. specially because Hawaii was a farm land it was easy for the Japanese to get a job there and get used to the culture since it was filled with Japanese culture.
The push factor was that they already had no jobs in Japan which made it more of a dream to get to have a job in something they want to do, especially since Hawaii was close it wasn't that expensive to get to where they wanted to go.

this following article shows how the Japanese were pulled into going to Hawaii because they already had people there who were working, and their beliefs where already their and it was easy to adapt to the culture because everyone that already lived there was Japanese and they already had an easy access to jobs. which led to more Japanese coming into Hawaii and then going on to the US.
Push factor was that they had non of their relatives in the area they lived in anymore which lead into more people from the same culture moving and going towards Hawaii.

the pull factor into Hawaii in this Art piece, shows first arrivals to Hawaii and how they started to work the first thing they go there, which began to pull in other Japanese people which quickly became one of the most populated places which had Japanese in it. and with more Japanese more workers, and more work means more workers in Japanese where pushed out because Japan didn't have as much jobs as and opportunity as did Hawaii then.

This diary entry is mainly from a pull factor. This was kept from a Japanese immigrant named Hisao Magario. He migrated to America as a dishwasher, but later on he started his own business selling Japanese souvenirs.

A push factor was that the 2 halves of Magario's family had split apart over the years. It stayed this way for a long time. Not until 2013 were these 2 sides reunited until Miki Nakajima came to California in pursuit of doctoral degree.

This image shows when the Japanese first moved to Mexico. This was to establish an agricultural colony. However, this didn't work and one of the push factors that made them leave Mexico was that it didn't succeed, beginning the Japanese immigration to Latin America. Following this, a Pull factor began to make them move to Peru. This pull factor was job opportunities for contact work.
