Coming to a stop, I was finally able to hop out of the car. I started taking in all the scenery. Looking around the road for any other cars, I saw none. Surprisingly, I saw a road with dust flying in front of me, blinding me, it lacked the normal smell of gas and oil I was used to in the back of the car. Continuing on, I looked to my right and I saw a small house, broken down, molding, and the paint flaking. Walking past the house, I saw a forest: A very eerie forest. The tree’s were as tall as a giraffe’s neck and as skinny as pencils. Finally, seeing a way to leave, as fast as I could, I left the scary land. Reaching some cars after miles of traveling, and running, reluctantly I climbed in a car. On my way to a new area to explore.

Friends Across the World

The click of they keys typing on an older siblings computer. The constant beep meaning your sibling got a new snapchat. Today, teen friends are a majority online. Some live 4,000 miles away from the user. Internet friends are now a huge debate across the board. Should kids have friends that they are wanting to meet and stay up all hours just to talk to. I think that kids should be allowed to have internet friends as long as they have proof that the person is really who they say. Many people have mixed emotions about this topic. Kids are solitary in life and this can really bring them out of their shell. Some are just too scared to reach out in real life so this can also help them develop social skills.

Many kids in today's society are very solitary in their school. Their to scared to reach out or don't have the same interest with other peers. With these social problems in school internet friends are very well needed. Sometimes it can be a struggle to talk to this friend but they are always there when they can be, a click away to get your questions answered. If you know this person is real and you really trust them you can tell them whatever you need to that you can't tell people at your school. Being lonely during your highschool/middleschool lives really can be a downer. Internet friends really can help that. Feeling down lately? It's so easier just to text, call, skype your friend that lives thousands of miles from you. Some people feel there isn't much excitement in their life and can be very depressed and socially awkward because of this. You can look forward to meeting this friends and have the anxiousness when you get the chance to meet your best friend. Some people argue that meeting people online can be dangerous but, if you have parents permission and you are 100% sure that the person you're talking to is who they say they are then it's ok. Some others say you make true friendships when you're in real life and will be able to share your lives and problems with each other easier. As to saying this you can share your life with a friends halfway across the world just as easy as somebody 2 feet away from you.

Making new friends in so much fun. Say you meet someone on vacation you really liked you can continue to talk to them through the internet. Not only can you talk to your friends you can talk to family members. If you live in Washington and your cousin lives in New Jersey. You can keep in touch with your baby cousin and still hear his first words just through video. Or you're off to a camp and meet somebody you can still keep in touch. Some people bring up a point saying the “real friends” can reduce anxiety and stress levels but, talking to a internet friend can do this aswell and maybe even more. Talking to real people can develop strong communication skills. Talking to an internet friends can do the same because you can talk over the phone and if you're nervous and want to slowly work your way up the talking you can just type!

It might sound crazy to parents in the world to see their kids having friends far away. Most parents still don't like this idea but there are some who do. It's friendships that really help us get through our lives. It's necessary for kids to have close friend they really feel they can talk to. Internet friends are good for kids to have deep friendships because, childhoods without friends are rough. I believe that internet friendships are good for kids. Our generation is getting more and more friends online today and it's helping them develop and be able to move on from problems.
