This section of the brain, located below the thalamus and connected by pons, is responsible for temperature. I am wrapped in a blanket showing that I am cold, the hypothalamus is sending messages throughout my body indicating that there is a cold temperature.

This photo is showing the amygdala and parietal lobes working together to send signals throughout my body. This picture is showing pain. The amygdala is what experiences emotions, being hit like this will kick the amygdala into gear and it will send signals that I am upset or angry. This allows the Broca's Area to work and allow me to speak. The parietal lobe is what tells my body that I am in pain.

The right hemisphere and the left hemisphere play major roles in the brain. They are literally what make up the entire brain. The left hemisphere of the brain holds Wernick's Area, this area deals with language and interpreting. This helps while I am smelling this candle because I am able to think about how good it smells and being able to understand what I am thinking.

These areas of the brain are extraordinary. The temporal lobe, hippocampus, and frontal lobe, all make us who we are. The temporal lobe and frontal lobe are in charge of understanding speech. This helps in math class because without understanding what the teacher is saying we wouldn't know what is going on. The hippocampus allows us to remember everything we have learned that day.

The medulla, which is the tissue of the brain, holds the cerebellum and the occipital lobe. The cerebellum creates muscular activity. This is helping me in this picture so I can hold and use the knife properly to cut a tomato in half. The occipital lobe is allowing me to see what I am doing so I do not get injured.
