         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Life cycle <br></strong>1. Attachment - a specific binding between viral surface proteins and their receptors (cells)<br>2. penetration - virus enters host cell <br>3. uncoating - viral capsid is degraded by viral enzymes or host enzymes <br>4. replication - assembly of viral proteins and genetic material produced in host cell (create more of the virus)<br>5. release - viruses escape from host cell by causing cell rupture. viruses typically 'bud' from the host cell<br><br><strong>Structure <br></strong>made up of:&nbsp;<br>core - genetic material, either DNA or RNA&nbsp;<br>surrounded by - protective coat called capsid which is made of protein<br>sometimes surrounded by - an additional spiky coat called envelope</div><div><br><strong>Examples of diseases that the virus can cause: </strong><br>HPV (warts)<br>MMR<br>Influenza virus&nbsp;<br>Hepatitis A,B +C<br>Polio&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
