When the name was  changed to EHA and it became IDEA, it included the IEP in the new Act. The name change was technically the first revision, happening in 1997. The second revision in 1997 added the need for Behavioral Intervention Methods to the Act. After the second revision the Act changed names again and was called the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004. There are 4 main components of this Act: accountability of test results, parent options, more control/flexibility of federal money, and emphasis on using evidence based practice.
