Kevin
There is a clear recognition that the scope of our behavior adoption projects has expanded beyond social marketing, but we are not yet able to adequately describe the nature of tactics and interventions that transcend social marketing. This matters because it affects our ability to develop a coherent behavior adoption strategy. If we had a better and more consistent understanding of the tools and tactics we use to address behavior adoption, we'd be able to much more easily develop strategies for achieving it.

As I listened to the country presentation, there is one theme that echoed to me which is the realization that behavior change is non-linear, irrational, non-sequential. So maybe it is about time to have LT aware of this reality on the ground.
Also, definition of BC for FF actually would drive the selection of theoritical framework, guide the research, selction of intervention method, etc

The new streamlined social marketing approach had been a useful framework that guided the formative research for cohorts. The use of this approach sets us apart from other conservation groups. It also highlights Rare’s niche as data-driven and learning organization. It is imperative that we further study how we can simplify this approach, come up with a toolkit, teaching module or e-course that we roll out not just in full Pride campaign but also to other Rare products and alternative delivery models.

Currently most BA research is to inform strategies and measure impact. There lies a great oppurtunity to streamline and allign with other data streams that come for our country programs, to make collection and analyses more efficient as well as add value by seeking out opportunities and techniques to make research multipurpose (i.e qual research on audience perspectives to inform as well as measure impact). The latter being extra important with regards to LT priority, "showing FF and ARA work"

1. Of all the 5 learning questions, this learning is uniquely the remit of BAMT. It is also the most complex question that requires not just insights from internal BA experts within Rare but also inputs from thought leaders outside of Rare or from growing number of researches around behavior change. Pinning down the behavior sequence (if it does exist and applicable), will affect the campaign phasing and level of effort, and determine what enabling conditions need to be in place.
