Kids that have bad home lives are more likely to bully other kids in order to have a sense of control over their own lives. Kids also mimic the behavior of adults around them and if they live in a household with an abusive parent they are more likely to project that behavior onto their peers. At my old school it was a reasonably sized problem as there definitely was harassment and I definitely felt ostracized by certain groups. However I feel like intent also matters as we live in such a digital era it is virtually impossible to get the consent of every single person in a photo you took outside before you post it online. I think if the image you took affects a person personally if you post it then you owe it to them to get their consent. I think taking pictures of other people without their knowledge or consent can be a form of bullying if your intention is to hurt their feelings or reputation amongst their peers. The Burger King Bullying Ad definitely made me feel a bit disappointed in the fact that only 12% of people helped the kid who was being bullied. I did feel happy that there were atleast some people who cared enough to help the kid out when the kids were harassing him. I definitely have seen this happening outside and sometimes I say something and sometimes I don't. It definitely depends on the power dynamic I feel between me and the abuser and whether or not I feel up for a confrontation at that time.
