Lots of them involved not only studying and researching the topic but being active and connecting with people and nature.
Once more I got many ideas that I want to implement in my classes, but to be honest I don't know when... Schedules and curricula are the basis of my work as a teacher, they guide me on what to teach though also restrict me and only give me little freedom to do more fun activities.
I would like to give my students more opportunities to discover things on their own, with me being more of a guide as well as a learner just like them.

Ever changing island
Ilet de Caret changed frequently over the past centuries. From being an island inhabited by fishermen to being washed away by a hurricane.
This book tells the diverse and interesting story of an island that never stops evolving.

I read the descriptions from the booklet and I really liked the practical approach that everyone in the group took with their prentations. And the funny thing was that I could have planned all of the lessons that we had - it feeled it so familiar with my teaching style! I will definetely use those at home and adapt key competences seen today with my culture.

We have divided the task by key competences and each one has suggested an activity to work on with the same interest: the natural park we visited yesterday, Blue lagoon Sac de Cul Marine. But if you don't try anything, nothing happens. 
In German we have a saying for that: „Wer nicht wagt, der nicht gewinnt“. I looked in the dictionary, it also exists in English: "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."
Already on Monday, but at the latest from today, when there were concrete ideas and examples, my head was buzzing with ideas of what I could try at our school. Let's see if some of them become reality...

The story for Tina:
The wonderful journey of Maryam, the mangrove.

Maryam had a peaceful childhood in a giant mangrove tree in Cul de sac marine. Since José, her friend, passed away, she grew up and became stronger and stronger.

Once again, this showed me that the exchange with other colleagues - and also outside of one's own school, school types and country - is sooo important! I hope to establish some such contacts for myself at home as well, because two (three, four...) brains and creative minds have more ideas than one.
