A priess duities is to spread the gospel and to share the love that the lord bestows upon us all. As the word of the lord is the salvation they spread salvation to those who have not heard it. these priests in the story are logical and kind. Although leaving those under buildings they still help those who they can.

The mental toll that these people faced after this bombing was instrumental to anything that had happened in the war. They were almost evaporated by something that destroyed their city in an instant. They have to live with their burns and injuries for their entire lives (the scars).

I feel as if there are people who are very aligned with the emperor and people who despised him. There should be more people despising him for his actions during the war. There were labor camps, he would push his troops too far and would let them all die and would not retreat, and he didn't surrender after the first bomb. in the book it is shown indifference when the people of Hiroshima hear his voice over the radio for the first time.

Total war isn't good for anyone, it isn't good for the people who create it, it isn't good fro the people who endure it, and it isn't good for the people who have to follow it. Being in it is hell, dealing with what you've created is hell, and seeing what it creates is hell. Total war is hell.

People were so focused on the A-bomb that they couldn't see the wrong behind the war that was going on prior to the bombing. People were so quick to point at the A-bomb that they couldn't see the atrocities that were being committed upon each other. such as said in the book when gone into detail it is explained that there were people that were blinded by hatred of the bomb that they had forgotten about what had happened.

Thinking about this subject has an argument for both sides but in my moral justice and in the moral justice of many others it is deemed to be an unnecessary force of "justice" upon those who had no involvement in the war. The after-effects caused on civilians overminded the gains that America would have gotten and was a cruel way to end the war. America could have been charged but tried to pin the blame on the person that oversaw the operation.

Some words to describe the people in the book would be kind, neighborly, caring, resourceful, and determined. When I think of the people that fought for Japan in the war I think of ruthless mean people who would fight until there were no more people to fight. People who would rather take their own life than to surrender.

Hiroshima, 9/11, and Pearl Harbor have things in common and they have things that differ. Starting with Hiroshima it was an attack against Japan from America that killed more people than these events combined. With Pearl Harbor and 9/11 America wasn't at war with either country that did it. Pearl Harbor was more justifiable though because America was a part of the allied nations. 9/11 was a tragedy and something that was not justifiable and has no right to be compared to Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima, both of those were during war. 9/11 was a terrorist attack.

Hearing that most of them died or were permanently disfigured from the blast wasn't fun. Hearing how they had to start over again in life made me see that they had their entire lives ruined in one fraction of a second. Everything for them had came crashing down

Even during war, there need to be rules. Rules against unnecessary pain towards both soldiers and civilians. Places such as civilian hospitals and civilian shelters should not be targeted such as the atomic bomb did. That bomb was made to kill civilians and instill fear in those who were lucky enough to watch from afar.
