My name is Martina, I'm 21 years old and I attend the 3rd year of University in Perugia, Italy.
I've studied langueges during secondary school and I've made 4 different excenges with other schools in Europe. I think that's why I still love travelling and it's one of my favorite hobby. My last trip was in Morocco this January.
This passion made me open minded, curious to discover other cultures and rich of new ideas.
I also like cooking and walking with my dog.
I'm sure I want to become a techer and that's why I devote my time to study, to go to lessons and to go to internship.
I want to become a techer because this job is never the same, I'll be inspired by my students and I will inspire them.
The most important reason why I want to become a techer is that I'll have a really big influence on the lives of my students and I want that it will be positive. When I was I child I had some negative experiences with a teacher of Primary School and I think it has marked me for life. I don't want to propose something like this: school has to be a fantastic place to stay and every child has to have a beautiful memory of it.

PLN

I think that PNL are a good chance for theacher to build their own professional skills and to be inspired constantly. To be a good teacher you have to keep in touch contact with other collegues, share ideas, reflect on them and propose to your classroom successful activities.
Thanks to Twitter or others online platforms, you can find people all over the world that have ideas you share, probably even more than collegues in your school. A very positive aspect is that in these platforms you can choose with who to interact, in school you have your collegues even (unfortunally) you don't share their ideas or they aren't inspiring you.
I don't have a PNL yet but for some lessons at University we have made a sort of virtual classroom when we can post what we write in classroom or at home, our homeworks and share them. This is not like a staffroom because we are all from the same university but it could become in the future when we will be all techers in different schools all over Italy.

How non-formal and informal learning play a role in my life now.

I think that these two thypes of education have the most relevant influence on my life now. It's also important to learn in some formal learning contexts, it's true, but what I've learned from the experience I would never found on a book.
During my trips, I've developed my problem-solving skills when I've found some difficulties, I've learned from my relatives how to relate with people and to be polite, from the contact with nature to be respectful.
Mass media are also informal tools to learn, mostly web, where I can find everything form my study, watch tutorials and so on.
So it's true that learning is for life and it doesn't stop as we finish school, especially for teachers.

What will be most rewarding for you in your job as a teacher?
I think that there are a lots of rewarding aspects of being a teacher if you love your job.
First of all, you inspire others just for being you and as a teacher, you will always do a (positive?!) impact on lives.
Then, it is an extremely stimulant job: you will never do the same thing or activities twice because every class or group of kids are different from the others. For this reason, when I will be a teacher, I tink I will get to feed my inner creativity as much as I've never done before.

What will the biggest challenges for you in your job as a teacher?
I think one of the biggest challenges for me as a teacher will be teaching people with different learning abilities and so to promote education also in people with difficulty. And to find and see in every child his potential and let it develop.

How will you organise your professional development?
I think that for a teacher learnig never finishes and so I will have to find different ways to reach new educational stategies for my personal growth. I will take part to conferences organized in my area, teaching training and also web will have an important role for my professional development. It is a bond between lots of theacher around the world with different ideas, that can inspire me and my work as teacher.

Do the 4 principles of organizing a lesson mentioned in the video, correspond to how you do it? Do you also integrate multiple pedagogies?
I'm not a teacher jet but I think these are the foundamental principles that have to guide a teacher during his work. I think they are important to promote the learning process and an interestig way to learn. A teacher that promote multiple pedagogies offers different types of lesson and students are not bored of them.
Do you give the learners ownership on the tools, both analogue and digital?
I think that anlogue and digital are both important tools to use in a classroom. I think in my future classroom I will propose both approaches and then students have to decide wich one is more useful for them in order to the activity proposed.
Do you, as a teacher, take on the role of a coach as well?
Yes, I hope to be like a coach for my future studens because, mostly at Primary school, is important to build a retionship with them and to have an important role for them.

As I write on my presentation post, I've done 4 different exchanges during secondary school. It was because my language teachers organized every year different trips to improve our languages. I went to Spain, Belgium, France and Germany for two weeks each year. They have been very useful experiences because I've improved the languages necessarily (I was alone in a family) and because I've met lots of people of my age.
These experiences made me open minded, curious to discover other cultures and rich of new ideas.
I think I will propose to my future students this type of aproach to people of different coutries and to search constantly new projects for them. This is foundament to raise open minded Europe citizens.
