1. The bridges in Rome were very strong and stable, which shows why they have been standing for centuries.
2.The bridges were made with arches so the support beams that were holding them up would stay strong.
3. The roman citizens also came up with an unbelievably strong mix of materials to use as concrete, that is also why the bridges and other building they made are still standing. (volcano ash was a big ingredient because the ash would prevent cracks from spreading.)

1.There were twelve main laws that the roman citizens had to follow in order to be safe.
2. One of the laws was called being innocent until proven guilty, which means that someone who got in federal trouble was innocent until the judge got enough information to prove that the criminal was guilty.
3. Equal treatment was a law that was obviously very hard for the roman citizens to follow because, a lot of rich citizens owned slaves and some citizen wouldn't treat women with equality.

We see roman contributions everywhere. From laws to buildings, the roman citizens had so many good ideas that we use today to make our country a better place to be in. One thing that we use that the roman citizens came up with is laws. We have laws like the roman empire did. We also have 3 branches of government like how the roman citizens had 3 branches of government. The 3 branches are the legislative branch, the judicial branch, and the executive branch. Another thing we took from the roman empire was their architecture. We use columns, domes, and arches in buildings all the time as well.
