We have one educational mold for students to fit in, and if they don't fit, we label them as "disabled" when in fact the system itself is "disabled." We have created round holes in which we expect students to fit. If they are round pegs, they will be successful. If they are cubes or prisms, then we chisel at them until we can squeeze into the holes. However, they never really fit right. I would agree with this if I were a teacher in high school. Under the "What" I just can't seeing 10 year old's and below not being taught something because they are not interested. I believe her in an elementary setting we should be focused on providing quality instruction with the focus being on reading, writing and math. If we give the students the tools and confidence that they can succeed then when they leave our schools to continue their education they will be successful. Upon arriving to high school they will have the academic success that we have provided and the confidence, understanding that the choices they make will lead to success instead of hating school they will love school. If students are allowed to pick what they like and discard what may be a challenge. They might miss out on something that could have been there love. I have had many students have told  me that they are engaged and love math because I made it fun.

I don't think you get the same learning on computers that you do face to face. I disliked it in college and I think many people do. Why? because of the personal interaction the questioning and answering, the debating which can lead to so much learning. On web ex, you have to wait to respond, in the classroom you get to see those hands shoot up or see a puzzled look. I think kids need to learn in school.
