Mi recuerdo favorito de la infancia es ir a Disney World con mi familia. Cuando tenía 10 años mis padres me sorprendieron con un viaje a Disney. En el viaje vi mi película favorita, el Rey León. Hay 4 parques diferentes en Disney. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, los estudios de Hollywood y Epcot. Mi parque favorito era Magic Kingdom porque había un castillo enorme y las atracciones me parecían como en una película. Hice la mayoría de las atracciones con mi hermana. La comida estuvo deliciosa. Mi comida favorita fue el pollo Alfredo en un lugar italiano. Luego, de postre, comí un cono de helado de Mickey. Tengo una hermana de 13 años y un hermano de 15 años. Sus nombres son Ella y William. Tengo 2 gatos llamados Honey y Harry. Mis fiestas favoritas son Acción de Gracias y Navidad. Esto se debe a que puedo ver a mi familia y a mis consejos y la pasamos bien.

Cuando era nino iba a la playa cada ano. Mi familia y yo con frecuencia ibamos en el otono porque fue mas fresco. Mi familia y yo traeabamos el toalla de playa, el traje de bano, y el chaleco salvavidas para mi heramana. Tambien, nadamos en el mar y pescamos en el muelle. Pero fue a menudo muy viento. Siempre veiamos los delfins en el mar. Con frecuencia veiamos los tiburones. Pero mi hermana fue miedo. Entonces mi hermana y yo jugaba el voleibol en la arena. Ella siempre cansada desde voleibol y recogaba los caracoles. Le gustaba los grande y rosado caracoles. Despues de nos refrescabamos debajo de la sombrilla. Entonces tomabamos el sol en la toalla de playa. Corriamos en la orilla de vez en cuando. Tambien, veiamos la puesta del sol y comiamos la cena.

Cuando era niña mi familia y yo vivíamos en Iowa. En Iowa siempre nevaba todo los inviernos. Mi hermana y yo siempre jugabamos afuera en el bosque. Nosotros construiamos casas de arboles con nuestro papa. Cuando terminamos mi hermana y yo fuimos a la casa para mirar televison. Cuando era pequeña mi pelicula favorita era “Dora's Ice Skating Adventure”.

Otra memoria de cuando tenia tres años fue cuando viajamos a Colombia. En Colombia mi familia y yo celebramos mi cumpleaños. Visitamos Cartagena y Bucaramanga, donde mi mama nacio.

En 2013 fuimos a Cancun para el matrimonio de mi tio y tia. Yo era la pajecita con mi hermana. Fumios a la playa, nadamas y construimos castillos de arena. Cuando tenia cinco años mi familia y yo nos fuimos a Carolina del Sur a vivir. Mi familia y yo vivimos aqui desde entonces. Yo hice muchos amigos aqui en Carolina del Sur.

1. Recuerda que normalmente la H en español no tiene sonido o es muda, a excepción de algunas palabras, especialmente nombres (Harold tiene h sonora).

2. En español, nosotros escribimos bastantes comas, entonces en algunos momentos podría ir una coma y no un punto. También, ten cuidado con las mayúsculas.

3. En español no utilizamos mucho la voz pasiva (mi primo fue picado por una medusa). Para que suene más natural, podemos decir:

   a. A mi primo lo picó una medusa.

   b. Una medusa picó a mi primo.

Por último, queremos resaltar tu pronunciación, es muy buena y la conjugación de los verbos también es excelente. Consideramos que fue un excelente trabajo.

El año pasado, mi familia y yo visitamos Hawái y este año volvimos en Abril. Nosotros usualmente vamos a Isla Grande Hawái.

Primeramente, iniciamos nuestro viaje en Greenville para llegar al Aeropuerto de Seattle y luego aterrizar en Hawái.

Mi parte favorita de Hawái es cuando visitamos La Playa de Kona porque el agua es muy cálida , hay muchos peces y puedo hacer mi actividad favorita que es snorkel.

aquliamos una casa en el canal para que ellos pudieron pescar. Nosotros vimos un camien(aligator) en el canal. Me encantaba pasar tiempo con mi playa en la playa.

wasn’t a big fan of parties, so I preferred to go on a trip with my family. My mother prepared everything; she bought a trip plan for four people (my brother, my mother and her boyfriend and me); in a travel agency. It wasn’t too expensive, it cost around one million per person. It included plane tickets, accommodation, food, and a small tour around the island. When we arrived at the island the first thing that I noticed was the beautiful colors of the sea, no for no reason it’s called “the sea of seven colors”. We stayed there around three days. The first and second day we visited the truistic places and on the third one we just went to the beach and bought some souvenirs. All those days were special for me because I hadn’t seen the sea and because I could spend a lot of time with my family.

Boyacá. I remember there were about six of us: my parents, my brother’s parents, my

grandparents, and me. We had been traveling for three weeks around Boyacá, a town in

Colombia, during Christmas time. One day, while we were at a grocery store drinking sodas and

eating salchichón (a type of salami) with bread, we were not far from home when my brother

said, “I have to go to the bathroom; I need to poop.” His mother told him to use the bathroom in

the store, but he was stubborn and refused to go. So, she suggested he use the bathroom at the

farm and gave him a flashlight since it was dark—it was around 7:00 PM, and he was eight years

old.

He went to the bathroom, but he didn’t come back. We decided to look for him, and on the way

home, it was very dark and smelled really bad. We noticed a trail of poop on the floor, which

was quite strange. When we finally arrived home, we found the bathroom door completely

covered in poop, and my brother was still inside. We asked him what happened, and he said, “I

was too afraid, and I had a stomachache, so I couldn’t go.” That was very funny and something I

will never forget.

However, when I was 13 years old, my parents, my sister, and I went to Saboya, where my grandmother gave me a wonderful little dog for my birthday. At that moment, I was incredibly happy and excited. We had to hide the dog from my father, so when we were returning to Bogotá, I hid her under a ruana. However, the trip was long, and my father eventually noticed that I had something hidden. When he realized it was a dog, he allowed me to keep her, but on the condition that I had to be responsible for her. I agreed, and today, my father is very fond of Luna, our little dog, and we are all very happy with her.

When we were 10 years old, we liked animals but chicks were our favorites. We bought one in a December celebration in a small town, the chick was green because people are bad and they painted just to make them look different. As a result, our first pet was amazing, he died but our friends bought us another three. After that, they lived with us, they grew up like a truly pet (dog or cat), they jumped and ran in our home every time, one day near Christmas one of our chicks died and the other ate a bee and died as well, the last become in a rooster hahaha. We really want to take chicks again, they are cuties and made us happy at that time of our lives.  

When I was a child, I had one of the most incredible Christmases at that time. I

remembered singing the last Novena, drinking wine accompanied by butter cookies, and listening to Colombian Christmas carols such as “Campana sobre campana” and “Mi burrito sabanero,” etc. I also tried to stay awake until midnight to receive the gifts provided by “The child God.” That Christmas was special for me because I remembered that all the family was together. Nowadays, some of them live in other cities, so we can't celebrate special dates as often as before. At that time, I felt happy, excited, and calm because I realized that I had the opportunity to live that experience and that I belonged to a lovely family. At the moment, we still celebrate Christmas as a family, and we try to make video calls with relatives who live far away..

we mentioned that I wanna have this doll. Some weeks later, when the soldier had to go, we went to say goodbye, and unexpectedly he gave me the money to buy the doll. I remember I was astonished and very happy. Finally, I bought the doll that was in my room for 15 years, and I still

When I was twelve years old, I went to my grandparents’ house. They live in |a village near Yopal, a city located in eastern Colombia.  One day, we decided to visit other nearby places, so we traveled by car.  During the trip, I could see the beautiful landscape through the car window. There were meadows, trees, and some animals such as cows and horses. After an hour, we arrived at a farm that was surrounded by gardens and mango trees. We took some photos to remember that moment. It was an incredible experience because having contact with nature made me feel relaxed and happy. I would like to repeat these kinds of activities with my family.

I remember one afternoon in particular, the sun was setting, and my cousins and I were playing hide-and-seek around the property. What made this memory special was the feeling of pure freedom and joy as we ran barefoot through the grass, laughing and chasing each other without a care in the world. I felt completely happy, surrounded by family, and the simple beauty of nature. To this day, the smell of fresh grass and the sound of crickets at dusk takes me back to that magical place and time.

The most appreciated memory when I was a child, it was when I used to play soccer with my friends, we used to participate in each championship, it is to represent our schools or our team.  At the same time, when I have been learning swimming with my family each weekend, in the past I had had the opportunity to participate with my sister is a swimming competitions, thanks to our disciplined and dedication to increase in all aspects

When I was 6 years old, every December my cousins from the city visited our grandparents in San Mateo, Boyacá. We would always pretend to run a restaurant, each of us having a specific role. I remember being in charge of preparing the "food" with one of my cousins, using leaves, sand, and stones as our pretend ingredients. There were many of us, which made the game even more fun. I also had a childhood friend who lived next door, and I would always invite her to join us. Those moments were filled with laughter, and I felt so happy being surrounded by family. This memory is special because it reminds me of the joy and warmth of my childhood

We did a lot of things that Sunday. We ate a lot of ice cream and delicious food, I played a lot with them and we took photos together. I felt happy and grateful for having them. I remember that moment with nostalgia but also with much love.  

My father went mad because of what he had just been told—understandable, indeed. Yet still, some of the information uttered by our neighbor was a bit far-fetched since she spotted my sister holding scissors. Hence, she figured my sister was due to have done something with such scissors, it is needless to say what she did, isn’t it? Lest you should wonder, she went out of her way to talk my father into believing my sister had messed up the doorbell wires with the scissors she was holding. The fact was my sister did not even get near the doorbell—it was me. Anyhow, neither she nor I got our own way out of the situation per se. nonetheless, the one who did was our neighbor; she managed to get that across to my father. Try as we might, we could not talk him out of giving us the belt; therefore, there was nothing we could do but face the situation. 

Childhood Memory

When I was about 4 years old, I loved a character on the tv that called “Barney”. I remember that

I had many things about that character, for example, toys, posters, clothes, etc. One day, I turned 5 years

old and as expected, my family prepared a party for me about Barney, all decoration in the party was

incredible, the cake, the jelly, and piñata have the Barney’s face printed on it. However, they have

prepared a surprise to me, at the time, I do not know anything about it. Suddenly, they turned off the

lights and a Barney song began to play, and surprise! my uncle dressed up as Barney! I was so scared, the

only thing I thought was that Barney had left the television, I started to cry and I didn’t want to see him.

At the end of the party, I found out that it was my uncle inside the Barney suit, I calmed down and was

very happy.

Hello! This is Annie! As I said before, your story is written so beautifully, and it really doesn’t need much editing! It, however, would probably still be beneficial, so, here are a few recommendations :)

1. I would say “When I was seven years old my dad…” instead of “I was 7 years old…”

(Also, I’m so sorry for your loss! Your story was so touching.)

2. I suggest saying “neither” rather than “either”

3. When you are expressing how you felt, I suggest adding some “so(s)” to show how deep your feelings were. For example, “I felt so happy and so grateful” really expresses some extreme feelings :)

4. There are a few grammatical mistakes with commas, however, they are very minimal. Overall, AMAZING JOB!!!

I suggest adding an academy sport “center/facility.” This is just a more common noun in English :)

You don’t need an “of” before “my home”

I recommend ending your sentence with “friends.” then starting a new sentence with “This day, my parents…”

I would say “went to see me play” instead of “go to look me play”

You should add “it was the best THING IN the world.”

I’d probably say “I couldn’t stop FROM smiling” not “to smiling”

I would rephrase the final sentence as, “Later on in the match” or “At the end of the match”

There are also a few comma and uppercase mistakes to watch out for, but overall, GREAT JOB!!!

Hello! This is Annie! As I mentioned in the virtual meeting, you wrote an incredible memory! (Your English is sooooo gooooood :) Here are just a few recommendations to bring your writing to the next level:

1. I would add, “I went exploring TO a nearby river”

2. Also, with this same quote, in your very next sentence, you switch to the subject being “we” not “I.” It might be a good idea also to switch the “I went” to “we went” :)

3. When you are describing emotions, it is not very grammatical, but it helps when you add “really,” “so,” or “extremely” because these words mean your emotions are strong. So, I might recommend adding one. For example, “I remember feeling EXTREMELY free…”

4. You could say “The” instead of “That” day. (I'm not sure if that is grammatically correct, but it is just another option)

5. I love all of the pictures you drew throughout the entirety of your story! It was beautiful! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!
