-When the government was in a delicate state, Napoleon took control by overthrowing the government. 
2. Forced Power
-After taking over the government, he wrote a constitution and forced the people to accept it. 
3. Treated women unfairly
- Took the rights away from women that were given to them during the revolution.
4. Reinstated slavery
-After slavery was abolished during the revolution, Napoleon reinstated it. This caused many slaves to be sent to Haiti which still has an affect on it today.
5. Constantly started wars
-Napoleon had a hunger for power which pushed him to control all of Europe. Overall these positives outweigh the negatives of his reign as he brought stability to the tired French people and reformed politics, finances, and religious and state affairs. His achievements far outweigh any so called cons or negatives. He established a centralized banking system, and taxation laws. His napoleonic code helped keep the nation stable in a very turbulent period. Napoleon also established schools called lycées that helped enlighten people of France and educate them. Napoleon got rid of corruption in the French government, and put people into positions of power based on merit and achievements instead of relations.
