2) Hatchets are very important because it is a weapon that can never run out of ammo because all it uses for is your stretch and swing for self defense.
3) Soap is very important mainly to keep clean but not just for that reason it will prevent you from getting a disease which is bad enough to where it might be able to kill you.
4) Compass Is something very important to have because if you think about it is a like your GPS back then it help you get to place you needed.
5) Hand Saws are very important because it is used for wood which could be useful for thing like shelter and keeping warm in the winter.

I chose him because he was very well trusted during the trip. I know this because in this site it said that he was allowed to carry a gun and that usually African Americans were not even allowed to hold a gun. This tells me York is very trustworthy. The last important reason to why I chose York for this trip is because he was once a slave. Because of York being a slave that tells me he is a pretty nice person because he was pretty much forced to be when he was a slave. So the fact that he is not a slave now kinda tells me in a way that he is a really nice person because of all the freedom he got after he became an ex-slave.

2nd person
The second choice I have to take on this trip is a dog named Seaman. I chose Seaman to go on this trip with me because when I read up on them it tells us that dogs can become very loyal. If this is the case than Seaman could very well become so loyal that it listens to its owner right away. If this happens than teaching it how to do certain things could be easier than training other dogs. You could train the dog how to hunt which would be amazing because it would be a very easy way to get food for survival. Also if you are every stressed or bored on the trip than you could play around with the dog which could relieve some stress or take away the borness.

The plant I chose was a tobacco plant. I chose this because I knew it would of probably made the American people freak out when they try it because of the effect. It was probably something they were not expecting. This might of been the cause of why it became so popular. To the American people at first this might of been something they loved but when they realize what it can do to your health later on could of changed their whole mind about the whole thing. At this time there was nothing to help you stop doing it or if you get really sick from it than there was nothing to make you feel better. So if this happened to one of the American people who tried it for the first they might of gotten really scared about what was going on.

Animal
The animal I chose was a grizzly bear. I chose this because it would of had to shock the explorers at the time. Because if that big things comes after you, you could easily die. So looking around the corner and seeing this was probably a big and shocking surprise that led butterflies to your stomach. Luckily they probably had something to kill the grizzly bear with. This could also benefit their lives because if you kill a grizzly bear than you're definitely going to have a long supply of food for you for the trip to the pacific ocean.

The crow tribe lived in Montana in the Yellowstone River Valley.  The Crow tribe were known as the scouter so they watched to see if anything bad was about to happen or not. When Lewis and Clark were spotted by the Crow Native American tribe Lewis and Clark did not see the Crow tribe but the Crow tribe seen the people from the Lewis and Clark expedition. That is what makes this whole thing so interesting.
